Do this now
Follow these steps in order.
- 01
The 2026 event has ended. Use this page only as an archive and check the Red Brick Warehouse event calendar before planning a future visit.
- 02
Bring cash for the reusable-glass deposit even if you intend to pay cashless for food and drink. The gate accepts cash, e-money and QR payment but not credit cards.
- 03
Book an official reserved table only if the remaining live inventory suits your group. General admission is still charged separately, and the entire party should check in ten minutes before the slot.
- 04
Use Bashamichi or Nihon-odori Station and walk. Do not rely on event parking or an ordinary weekend driving time around the Red Brick Warehouse.
- 05
Recheck the organizer site and official X account before departure if strong wind or severe weather is possible; ordinary rain alone does not cancel the event.
What to know
Formal name, final dates, hours and venue
The formal event is Yokohama Oktoberfest 2026. It opened Friday, September 18 and ends Sunday, October 4 at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza, 1-1 Shinko, Naka-ku, Yokohama. The final weekend runs 11:00–21:30 on Saturday and Sunday, with last orders at 21:00.
The organizer presents more than 100 beers, including products from five of Munich Oktoberfest's six official breweries, alongside German-style food, non-alcoholic choices and live music. This is a commercial food-and-drink event, not a traditional Japanese festival, but its waterfront location and public-transport access make it a practical half-day option from Tokyo or within Yokohama.
Published band sets are approximately 30 minutes at 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 20:00 on Friday, then 12:00, 14:30, 16:30 and 19:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Times and content can change, so use the current official timetable rather than treating one performance as guaranteed.
What to know
General admission, age rules and what is not included
General admission is ¥500 including tax. Visitors of junior-high-school age and under enter free. People under 20 must be accompanied by a guardian, alcohol sales to minors are prohibited and staff may request age identification. Entry pays only for admission: beer, food, merchandise, the reusable-glass deposit and any reserved seating are separate.
The official gate accepts cash, electronic money and QR-code payments, but not credit cards. The event also offers digital Q SKIP combinations that pair the ¥500 admission with a Minatomirai Line or Tokyu rail day pass and a priority entry lane. Compare the bundle with your actual travel before buying; it is not automatically cheaper for every visitor.
General admission is not a reserved viewing position. Staff may manage a queue or pause entry when the event space reaches a safe operating level. The current pages do not publish a fixed public general-admission sellout threshold, so arriving earlier is more reliable than assuming instant evening entry.
What to know
Reserved tables, prices, deadline and sellout conditions
Official reserved seating uses two-hour table slots inside the large tent. Friday slots are 12:00–14:00, 14:30–16:30, 17:00–19:00 and 19:30–21:30. Weekend slots are 11:00–13:00, 13:30–15:30, 16:00–18:00 and 18:30–20:30.
A Friday table costs ¥3,300 for the first two slots or ¥4,400 for the final two. A Saturday or Sunday table costs ¥7,700. One table is recommended for six people and may be used by one to eight; the official page lists 20 tables. The price does not include the ¥500 entry fee per chargeable visitor, food, drink, merchandise or glass deposit.
Booking is subject to remaining official inventory and can sell out by slot. Free cancellation is available until 17:00 on the day before the booking; after that, the cancellation fee is 100 percent. The full group should check in at information ten minutes before the slot. Do not pay an unofficial seller for a guaranteed table or assume a social-media screenshot proves current availability.
What to know
Payment plan: cashless booths, cash deposit and glass returns
Food and drink booths accept cashless payment, with the available brands shown at the event. The organizer does not provide on-site top-up for electronic money, so load your card or app before arriving. Reserved-seat payment is cashless only and includes credit cards; cash is not accepted for the table charge.
The reusable beer-glass deposit is cash only. Keep enough yen for the deposit even if every purchase in your plan is cashless. Return the glass according to the event procedure to recover the deposit, and do not confuse that refundable amount with the drink price.
The information point also lists a three-beer tasting set with an original mug for ¥3,700. Treat that as a separate optional product with possible stock limits, not as entry or a substitute for a reserved table. The official venue map identifies non-alcoholic choices for visitors who do not drink.
What to know
Nearest stations and the simplest access route
Bashamichi Station and Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line are each about a six-minute walk from Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Minatomirai Station is about 12 minutes away. JR and Yokohama Municipal Subway Sakuragicho Station is about a 15-minute walk via Kishamichi Promenade, and Kannai Station is also about 15 minutes on foot.
From Sakuragicho, the Akaikutsu sightseeing bus serves the Red Brick Warehouse area. BAYSIDE BLUE also links Yokohama Station with the Shinko waterfront. Check the city operator's current timetable before relying on a bus after the final performance; a walk to the nearest rail station can be more predictable in a crowded evening.
The Red Brick Warehouse warns that parking lots and surrounding roads are expected to be congested on weekends and holidays and asks visitors to use public transport. Event purchases do not necessarily qualify for the warehouse's indoor-shop parking service. Do not drink and drive, and do not plan a taxi pickup directly beside a dense closing-time queue.
What to know
Rain, crowds, food rules and photography
The event runs in rain but may be cancelled or closed in severe weather. The organizer says any cancellation will be announced on the facility site, event site and official X account. No universal public decision time or alternate date is published. Use compact rainwear because umbrellas are awkward in food queues and tightly spaced seating.
Outside food and drink are not allowed. Dogs may enter on a leash but are not permitted inside the large tent; assistance dogs are allowed. Smoking, underage drinking and nuisance behavior are prohibited. Keep aisles clear, carry drinks carefully and follow staff if they change a queue or close a section.
Personal photography is allowed when it respects other visitors' privacy. Commercial filming requires permission. Keep tripods, selfie sticks and lighting out of the crowd flow, ask before making identifiable close portraits and do not use a personal drone over the event or waterfront gathering.
What to know
Final-weekend checklist
Before leaving, check the official event page for any weather or operating notice, the remaining reserved-seat inventory if relevant, and the live train route home. Bring a charged phone, age identification if you may be checked, cash for the glass deposit and a payment method accepted at your chosen booths.
The organizer's stamp-rally reward distribution ended on September 30 after the allocation was reached. Do not make the final weekend trip specifically for that reward. Other limited goods can also run out without the event itself selling out.
The thumbnail on this page is a generated editorial image inspired by an autumn beer festival at the Yokohama waterfront. It is not documentary photography of Yokohama Oktoberfest 2026 and must not be used as evidence of the actual tent, stage, products, seating, weather or crowd conditions.
If that does not work
Use the fallback.
- Reserved tables are sold out: use general admission, arrive earlier and choose open unreserved areas without blocking service or access lanes.
- The entry queue is paused: wait only in the signed area or return at a quieter time; a digital or rail bundle does not override safety capacity.
- Electronic money cannot be topped up: use another accepted payment method and preserve cash for the glass deposit.
- Severe weather closes the event: follow the organizer notice and choose an indoor Yokohama plan; no make-up date is published.
- Weekend roads are gridlocked: stay with the rail-and-walk route instead of switching to a car or last-minute taxi.
