teamLab Learn and Play! Future Park Okinawa is a permanent educational project built around co-creation. Visitors do not simply walk past finished digital artworks; their drawings, touch and movement change a shared environment with other participants.

The official page currently presents works such as Sketch Aquarium: Connected World, Graffiti Nature, Light Ball Orchestra, Hopscotch for Geniuses and Story of the Time when Gods were Everywhere. Individual works or specifications can be unavailable or changed for maintenance, crowds or seasonal programming.

Choose it for participation, younger children and a compact Naha activity. Travelers seeking the large, labyrinth-like art-museum scale of teamLab Borderless or the water-and-body immersion of teamLab Planets should not assume the brand name means the same format.

What to know

Sketch Aquarium turns a drawing into part of the room

In Sketch Aquarium, a visitor colors a fish on the supplied paper and the scanned drawing appears among creatures made by other visitors. The fish respond when touched, creating a shared scene rather than a static projection.

The official project says tuna can cross the digital boundaries of related Sketch Aquarium and Sketch Ocean works around the world. That conceptual connection helps explain why some promotional imagery may show drawings or labels created elsewhere.

The experience works best when adults allow children time to draw and then find their own creature. Rushing through only for photographs removes much of the activity’s value.

What to know

Expect physical play, dark rooms and shared space

Several works use rolling balls, jumping, slides, projected symbols or uneven surfaces. The official warnings describe a dark exhibition with changes in level and unstable footing, plus flashing light effects.

This is not a seated digital show. Adults need to supervise children, watch other visitors and avoid projectors, sensors and lighting equipment. Some works have height or age restrictions.

Visitors sensitive to flashing light, loud group activity, darkness or uncertain footing should contact the venue before purchase. A ticket does not guarantee that every work will suit every body or sensory need.

What to know

Allow one to two hours, but use your child’s pace

Klook suggests one to two hours, which is a useful itinerary estimate rather than an official time limit. Drawing, waiting for a scan, repeating physical works and ordering a Sketch Factory item can extend the visit.

A fast adult-only walk can be shorter, while a child who wants to redraw a fish or play repeatedly may need longer. Entry lines and sold-out periods also affect the day.

Do not place a non-refundable transport departure immediately after the exhibition. Last admission at 19:00 does not mean a full visit remains before the building closes at 20:00.

What to know

Official 2026 admission uses three paid age bands

The official Japanese ticket page lists ¥2,000 for adults aged 18 and over, ¥1,400 for junior-high and high-school students, and ¥1,200 for children aged four and over through elementary school. Ages three and under are free. Prices are tax-inclusive.

The English page expresses the paid child band as ages 4–12, while the Japanese labels are school-based. Carry student or age identification because the venue may request proof.

Select the ticket from the traveler’s real age and school status on the visit date. Never reduce the declared age to fit a cheaper category; the ticket can be rejected if the evidence does not match.

What to know

Disability tickets require original evidence

The official rates are ¥1,000 for a disabled visitor aged 18 or over, ¥700 for ages 13–17 and ¥600 for ages four to 12. A holder of an eligible disability certificate and one accompanying person may buy the discounted category.

The venue requires the original certificate at entry, with the holder and companion entering together. Mirairo ID is accepted; a certificate issued outside Japan can also be used, but an original photo ID such as a passport is required when the certificate has no photograph.

A discount does not establish full physical access to every work. Confirm both the ticket evidence and the desired installations before purchasing.

What to know

The adult-to-child ratio is strict

Children of elementary-school age or younger must be accompanied by a person aged 20 or over. One such adult is required for every three children, including children who enter free.

A 19-year-old older sibling does not meet the published supervisor age. Four children require at least two qualifying adults, even if one or more are three or younger.

Count the complete party before buying a non-refundable Klook ticket. A group that fails the ratio should add an eligible adult or choose another activity rather than expecting a gate exception.

What to know

Sneakers are an entry requirement, not a comfort suggestion

The official rules refuse high heels, shoes with decorative spikes, open-toed shoes and footwear that does not secure the heel, including sandals, flip-flops and clogs. Visitors should wear stable shoes suitable for movement.

Klook currently describes a ¥500 soft-soled shoe rental, limited by quantity and size. That is a reseller-published fallback, not a reason to arrive unprepared.

Bring sneakers for every participant. Okinawa beach footwear is the most avoidable cause of a failed or delayed entry, particularly when the selected ticket cannot be refunded.

Wheelchairs can enter, but some works need stairs

The official page allows wheelchair users and assistance dogs into the exhibition but states that some works cannot be entered or experienced safely. It specifically notes that stairs are required for certain installations.

Admission numbers for wheelchair users and assistance dogs can also be limited, so waiting may be required. This is partial venue access, not a promise of the complete experience.

Contact the venue with the wheelchair dimensions, transfer ability and priority works before buying. Ask about the entrance route, accessible toilet, seating and evacuation arrangement as well as the exhibit itself.

What to know

Strollers and large items stay outside the exhibition

Strollers must be left in the designated stroller-storage area. The venue also prohibits items over 50 cm, food, alcoholic beverages, uncapped drinks, dangerous items, strong-smelling items and fresh flowers.

Keep passports, medicines, wallets and anything needed during the visit in a compact secure bag. The venue tells visitors to manage their own belongings and does not accept liability for theft or loss.

Because re-entry is not allowed, complete feeding, toileting and bag organization before scanning the ticket. Leaving to retrieve something ends the admission.

What to know

Eating and drinking are not allowed inside

The official rules prohibit eating and drinking in the exhibition, including candy and gum. Uncapped drinks are also listed among prohibited items.

Plan a meal or snack before the ticket is scanned, particularly with young children. Confirm the building’s current food and nursing facilities separately; they are not part of the teamLab admission.

A long visit in Okinawa heat still requires hydration before and after the indoor exhibition. Carry a permitted closed bottle for the wider day, then follow staff storage instructions at entry.

What to know

Photography is personal-use only unless permission is obtained

The venue permits ordinary photos and video when they do not inconvenience other visitors. Flash, monopods, tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited.

Commercial filming or photography requires prior consent. YouTubers, sponsored creators and production teams should obtain permission before arrival; buying a Klook ticket does not provide commercial rights.

The room is shared with children and families. Avoid blocking interactive surfaces, filming identifiable minors without consent or treating a drawing station as a private set.

What to know

Find the third floor of T Galleria, not an outdoor park

The venue is on the third floor of T Galleria Okinawa by DFS at 4-1 Omoromachi in Naha. It is an indoor exhibition inside a retail building, despite “Future Park” in the English name.

Omoromachi is station 11 on the Okinawa Urban Monorail, or Yui Rail. The teamLab page describes the venue as next to the station and estimates 19 minutes from Naha Airport by rail.

From a resort elsewhere on Okinawa Island, the drive to Naha and urban traffic can dominate the visit. Do not use the airport-to-venue estimate for a hotel in Onna, Motobu or Chatan.

What to know

Hours and third-Thursday closures need a date check

Current official hours are 10:00–20:00 with last admission at 19:00. The exhibition is normally closed on the third Thursday, even though T Galleria itself is listed as open every day.

The venue currently publishes exceptions opening on Thursday, February 19 and Thursday, August 20, 2026. That means a general third-Thursday rule is not enough for an August plan.

Open the official page and ticket calendar on the day you travel. Maintenance, building operations and weather can change access without making an old screenshot accurate.

What to know

Typhoon and warning days can delay or cancel entry

Okinawa weather is a material ticket decision. The official FAQ says a weather warning or advisory can delay opening or cause the exhibition to be canceled or suspended, with updates posted on the official website and social media.

Klook’s standard product is non-refundable, while an unscheduled venue closure may have separate handling. Do not assume a flight disruption or poor weather automatically qualifies for a ticket refund.

On a typhoon-risk day, check Japan Meteorological Agency warnings, Yui Rail service, T Galleria operations, teamLab announcements and Klook support before leaving. Keep the wider itinerary flexible.

What to know

Klook is direct entry but currently non-refundable

Klook’s current ticket is valid on the selected date, provides instant confirmation and supports direct entry with the mobile voucher. It does not permit cancellation, refund or changing ticket number or type after purchase.

Confirm every age, the required adult ratio and footwear before paying. A direct-entry QR code removes a ticket-counter step but does not override venue rules or guarantee every artwork.

Save the voucher offline and keep its brightness high enough to scan. Do not include old fixed dates in an affiliate link; select the actual visit date on the live English page.

What to know

The official store has one limited date change

A ticket bought directly from the official ticket store can currently change date once by 23:00 on the day before the planned visit. The change is unavailable after one use, for a different ticket type, a sold-out date, only part of a multi-ticket order, multiple new dates, an unreleased date or a differently priced date.

That limited flexibility can be worth more than a small reseller saving during typhoon season. It is not a cancellation policy and does not permit splitting a family booking.

Compare Klook and the official store by final price, currency, card fees, date flexibility and support—not by headline price alone.

What to know

Sketch Factory souvenirs cost extra

Sketch Factory can turn a selected visitor drawing into a product such as a badge, towel, T-shirt or tote bag. This is an optional purchase after the creative process, not part of standard admission.

Check the live product selection, price, production wait and cutoff at the venue before promising a particular souvenir to a child. Availability can differ from promotional examples.

Photograph the original paper if permitted and keep time before the building closes. A 19:00 admission leaves less production margin than an earlier visit.

What to know

Final visit sequence

First verify the exact date, closure exception and weather. Count all children, secure the required adults and buy the correct age categories.

Arrive in sneakers with the voucher saved, store the stroller and large items, and finish food or drink before entry. Supervise actively in dark, uneven and moving areas.

Let each participant create before rushing to photographs, then decide whether Sketch Factory is worth the extra cost. Once the group exits, the ticket cannot be used again.
