Public Days are Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, from 09:30 to 17:00, and Monday, September 21, a national holiday, from 09:30 to 16:00. Buy the ¥3,000 public ticket before going to Makuhari
A one-day public admission ticket costs ¥3,000 including tax for junior-high-school age and older. Elementary-school-age children and younger are admitted free. Tickets are date-specific, sales stop when the planned allocation is reached, and the organizer states that no same-day tickets will be sold at Makuhari Messe. A ticket for the wrong public day cannot simply be exchanged at the entrance.
The official overseas section listed a Trip.com digital-ticket route when checked on August 17. The QR code is presented on a smartphone. Use only a purchase link reached from the official TGS ticket page, confirm the selected date and name before payment, and save the issued ticket locally rather than relying on email loading in the crowd.

Premium and Fast Tickets are already marked sold out
The ¥30,000 Premium Ticket covered all three public days with priority entry and lounge benefits, while the ¥6,000 Fast Ticket provided one-day priority entry and merchandise. The organizer's Japanese-resident and overseas sections both marked the first-come Premium and Fast Ticket allocations sold out when checked on August 17.
Do not buy a resale listing or assume a travel package includes an official pass. TGS states that ordinary ticket sales end at capacity and purchased tickets cannot be changed or refunded for a date-selection mistake. Standard one-day tickets were still presented as purchase options on the official page at the time of review, but the live purchase screen is the final availability check.

Kaihin-Makuhari is the practical station
Makuhari Messe is about five minutes on foot from Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyo Line. The organizer describes the rapid-train trip from Tokyo Station as about 30 minutes. From Makuhari-Toyosuna Station, the walk is about 20 minutes; buses from Makuhari-Hongo offer another route when the Keiyo Line is not the best option.
Allow more time than the train duration suggests. Tokyo Station's Keiyo Line platforms can require a long internal walk, the station and venue approaches will be busy, and all attendees are subject to baggage screening. Save the exact hotel-to-platform route and the final return train rather than treating 'Tokyo to Makuhari' as one simple transfer.

Entry deadlines and crowd controls can override your hall plan
First entry closes at 16:00 on September 19 and 20 and at 15:00 on September 21. Re-entry closes at 16:30 on the first two public days and 15:30 on the final day. The venue controls capacity separately in Halls 1–3, 4–6, 7–8 and 9–11 and can temporarily stop entry to a crowded area.
Every visitor undergoes baggage screening, including after re-entry. Large bags slow the process. The organizer prohibits all-night waiting around the venue, selfie sticks, drones, noisy equipment and assembled long objects of 50 cm or more; tripods and folding chairs above that limit are specifically barred. Strollers must be left at the designated storage area.

Your mobile-data plan needs a TGS-specific adjustment
The organizer prohibits tethering functions on smartphones and mobile Wi-Fi routers inside Halls 1–11 because competing wireless signals can interfere with demonstrations and test equipment. It also warns that mobile reception may be poor. Makuhari Messe Free Wi-Fi is available in places including the second-floor Central Mall, but that does not guarantee a stable connection inside every hall.
Before entering, save the QR ticket, access map, a screenshot of must-see booths, meeting point and return journey. Carry a charged portable battery and agree on an offline meeting plan with companions. Reliable travel data is still useful on the way to the venue, but do not build an inside-the-hall workflow around hotspot sharing.

Photography and cosplay have separate rules
Photography, video recording and distribution can be restricted or prohibited by individual exhibitors. Ask or follow booth signage before filming a screen, demo, performer or another attendee. A public ticket, creator channel or large camera does not grant blanket filming permission, and selfie sticks are prohibited unless the narrow influencer-badge exception applies.
Cosplay participation requires a separate cosplay registration fee in addition to the one-day admission ticket. Regular changing-room and cloakroom use costs ¥2,000 and early-morning use costs ¥3,000. Overseas participants have an official advance-purchase route, daily capacity is limited, and same-day registration may be restricted. The cosplay area itself is in the east and west parts of Hall 9.

Weather, heat and last checks before the event
Most exhibits are indoors, but station queues and entry lines can still be hot in September. The organizer specifically warns about heat stroke and permits water or tea in sealed containers for hydration. Check Chiba's WBGT, drink before joining the entrance line and pack light enough to pass baggage screening efficiently.
