This is a booking page for reserved highway-bus seats, not a guided Mount Fuji tour. The public Klook page offers both Tokyo-to-Fuji and Fuji-to-Tokyo directions. Its visible filters list Shibuya, Narita Airport, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tokyo Station and Akihabara on the Tokyo side, and Fujisan Station, Fuji-Q Highland and Lake Kawaguchi on the Fuji side.

Klook does not identify one operator for the entire product because the operating company depends on the selected departure. Current official timetables show different Fuji Kyuko-group, JR Bus Kanto, Keio, Tokyu, Seibu and Keisei-group services across the listed Tokyo areas. The selected bus—not the product headline—decides the operator, terminal and vehicle.

Those filters show the product’s possible scope, not a promise that every origin–destination pair runs on every date. Although the overview promotes access to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station, the package choices visible on July 26, 2026 did not include a 5th Station destination. Do not buy activity 159339 on the assumption that it reaches the 5th Station; select the real travel date and use only the route shown in the package and voucher.

The booking is transportation only unless the selected package explicitly states otherwise. Admission to Fuji-Q Highland, local sightseeing buses, meals, a guide, a Mount Fuji climbing fee and a mountain-hut reservation should all be treated as separate.

• Direction matters: Tokyo to Fuji and Fuji to Tokyo are separate selections.
• A Tokyo area name is not enough; the voucher’s terminal, building and platform control boarding.

Choose the Fuji stop before the Tokyo terminal

Lake Kawaguchi—or Kawaguchiko Station—is the strongest default for travelers planning lake views, the sightseeing-bus network, the ropeway area or an overnight stay around Kawaguchiko. It is a transport hub in the Fuji Five Lakes area, not a viewpoint that guarantees an unobstructed mountain.

Fuji-Q Highland is the practical stop when the theme park is the purpose of the trip. It is also served before or near Kawaguchiko on many routes, but do not use it as a substitute merely because another traveler says it is walkable: the correct stop depends on your attraction, accommodation, baggage and onward transport.

Fujisan Station serves central Fujiyoshida and local connections. It is not the Fuji-Subaru Line 5th Station. The official highway-bus page explicitly warns that the two stops are different; booking Fujisan Station does not place you at the climbing trailhead.

The Fuji-Subaru Line 5th Station is around 2,300 meters above sea level and is the Yoshida Trail gateway. Access is seasonal and road-dependent. A sightseeing visit to the 5th Station is possible without climbing, but a bus seat does not authorize a summit climb.

Tokyo has several different boarding points

Klook’s route filters include several Tokyo areas because the product aggregates different services. Shinjuku departures normally use Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal, often called Busta Shinjuku, at the South Exit area. Shibuya services use the highway-bus terminal on the fifth floor of Shibuya Mark City; Tokyu Bus publishes a step-by-step access route and says the waiting room opens from 5:30.

Tokyo Station services can use Tokyo Station Yaesu South Exit or the Tekko Building, and these are distinct boarding points. The current Tokyo–Fuji Five Lakes timetable on Japan Bus Online lists both. Akihabara, Ikebukuro and Narita Airport likewise require their own dated package and voucher; do not navigate to a generic pin for “Tokyo Station” or “Tokyo bus terminal.”

After confirmation, save the complete voucher offline and compare its departure name, address, map, reporting time and bus number. If the Klook page, map pin and voucher appear inconsistent, ask Klook to identify the controlling boarding point in writing before travel.

• Allow extra station-navigation time; Shinjuku and Tokyo Station are not single concourses.
• Use the building and floor, not only the neighborhood name.
• Do not assume staff can hold a reserved bus for a late passenger.

What to know

Use official fares and times as a comparison—not a guarantee

The official Highway-buses.jp route page listed Shinjuku–Kawaguchiko at ¥2,200 for an adult and ¥1,100 for a child, with an approximate ride of 1 hour 45 minutes, when checked on July 26, 2026. Shinjuku–Fuji-Q Highland used the same fares and an approximate 1 hour 40 minutes. Shibuya–Kawaguchiko was ¥2,300 adult and ¥1,150 child, with an approximate 2 hours 30 minutes.

Those figures are useful only when comparing the same route, passenger category and departure. Klook may sell a different operator, terminal, time or promotional inventory. Compare the final Klook total with the official channel, then choose based on the complete price, usable payment method, support and cancellation terms—not the headline discount.

Road times are estimates. Weekend, holiday, autumn foliage and climbing-season traffic can delay both directions. A direct bus removes train changes, but it also concentrates the trip’s risk in road congestion. Do not place a flight, long-distance train or non-refundable dinner immediately after the scheduled return.

What to know

Seats, toilets and luggage require a package-level check

Klook’s current public information says the buses use four-row assigned seating. Some routes assign seats randomly; the service says it will try to seat companions together, not that adjacent seats are guaranteed. A request is not a confirmed seat arrangement.

The listing says buses generally have a lavatory, but the vehicle can change during maintenance. It also says a driver can stop at a rest area on request when a lavatory is unavailable. Do not build a medical or accessibility plan around that general statement; ask about the selected vehicle and expected stop pattern.

Small carry-on items must fit on your lap or by your feet without obstructing other passengers. Suitcases cannot be placed in the passenger cabin or aisle. A lower baggage compartment is available, but Klook notes separate restrictions for large items such as bicycles, skis and musical instruments, and passengers handle their own loading and unloading.

The public page does not give one universal suitcase count or measurement for every route in this product. Send the dimensions and quantity of all large bags before paying. Travelers with wheelchairs, mobility aids, strollers or equipment cases should confirm the vehicle steps, folding requirements, storage and assistance in writing.

What to know

A 5th Station ticket is not a climbing plan

The current official Shinjuku–5th Station page lists an adult fare of ¥4,800, a child fare of ¥2,400 and an approximate ride of 2 hours 25 minutes. Fuji Kyuko’s separate 2026 summer timetable covers July 1 through September 10. Recheck the dated seasonal route and the Fuji Subaru Line’s live road status because weather, road restrictions and the operating plan can change.

For 2026, the official Mount Fuji climbing site lists the Yoshida Trail season from July 1 through September 10, a ¥4,000 hiking fee, a gate closure from 14:00 to 03:00 the next day for climbers without a mountain-hut stay, and a daily cap of 4,000 climbers. Necessary climbing equipment is checked. None of those requirements is included simply because you bought a bus ticket.

Fuji Kyuko’s official 2026 timetable also lists hourly route buses from Fujisan Station and Kawaguchiko Station to the Fuji-Subaru Line 5th Station from July 1 through September 10. It warns that late departures do not arrive before the 14:00 entry restriction and that buses are suspended or turned at the 4th Station when the Fuji Subaru Line is closed or only partly open.

If you are only sightseeing at the 5th Station, still prepare for lower temperatures, stronger sun and fast-changing weather. If you are climbing, use the official climbing site to build the safety, equipment, entry, hut and descent plan separately from transportation.

What to know

Decide between a day trip, overnight stay and guided tour

A self-guided highway-bus day trip works best for travelers who already know their main stop and can keep the itinerary compact. Kawaguchiko offers freedom, but local attractions are spread out and queues can consume the time saved by an early bus. Reserve a realistic return and decide what you will skip if the outbound road is delayed.

An overnight stay is safer for sunrise views, a slower lake circuit, families with a flexible pace and anyone connecting to a climbing start. It also reduces the pressure to return to Tokyo during the evening congestion window, though accommodation and luggage planning add cost.

A guided day tour may be better when you want several viewpoints without managing local buses. It gives up control over weather, stop duration and photography time. What to know

The voucher and selected package override the overview

Klook warns that the bus company may change the departure time or station and tells customers to check the confirmed voucher. That makes the voucher an operational document, not a receipt to ignore. Save it on every traveler’s phone and keep the bus company or seller contact available offline.

The undated public overview does not show one universal cancellation or amendment cutoff for activity 159339. Do not assume the “free cancellation” rules of another Klook product apply. Select the date, direction and route, open the package details, and record the local-time deadline before paying.

If a weather or road closure affects the 5th Station, ask whether the bus is cancelled, rerouted or terminated lower on the mountain and what refund rule applies. A transport change and a customer cancellation can be treated differently; wait for written instructions before abandoning a service that may still operate.
