Airporter moves luggage between eligible Tokyo hotels, Haneda Airport, Narita Airport and Tokyo Station so you can travel without taking a suitcase through stations, trains and crowded streets. The strongest use cases are the hours between hotel checkout and an evening flight, the gap between two Tokyo hotels, and an arrival day when you want to begin sightseeing immediately.

The service is most valuable when it replaces several hours of backtracking or prevents a difficult station transfer. It is less useful when your hotel already stores bags for free, your route passes the hotel naturally, or the delivery fee approaches the cost of a convenient taxi shared by your group.

How same-day hotel delivery works

For a hotel-origin same-day booking, Airporter’s current instructions say to reserve by 23:00 the previous day and leave tagged luggage with the hotel front desk by 9:00. Airport or Tokyo Station collection is available later that day; hotel-to-hotel delivery arrives in the evening.

After booking through Klook, the listing says Airporter sends a transaction number by email. You must upload a luggage photo and accommodation confirmation, write the transaction number on a tag for every item and follow the instructions for your hotel. Email notices are sent at booking, collection and delivery.

Do not leave a suitcase silently at reception. Confirm that hotel staff accept the handoff, understand the destination and have the correct tag. Save the receipt, transaction number and support contact until the item is physically returned.

There is a one-hour discrepancy in the published hotel arrival time

Klook’s current English listing says same-day bags are ready at the next hotel after 19:00. Airporter’s own current English FAQ says hotel delivery can be collected after 20:00. These pages were checked on July 25, 2026 and do not match.

Plan around 20:00 unless the transaction confirmation for your exact booking gives a different guaranteed time. Do not pack dinner clothes, check-in documents, medication or anything needed at 19:00 based only on the earlier reseller estimate. Ask Airporter or Klook to clarify before paying if the hour changes your plan.

Airport and Tokyo Station cut-off times

The Klook listing says hotel-origin bags must be left by 9:00 for same-day delivery. It lists airport or Tokyo Station origin drop-off by 13:00, with airport collection after 16:00. Airporter’s current FAQ says a Tokyo Station-to-hotel booking must be reserved by 23:00 the previous day, deposited at the Tokyo Station counter between 7:00 and 13:00, and collected at the hotel after 19:00.

Treat every cut-off as strict. Station navigation, immigration, baggage reclaim, flight delays and counter queues can make a theoretical 13:00 deadline unrealistic. If your arrival is close to the cut-off, keep the luggage with you or arrange a later-day alternative rather than gambling on same-day acceptance.

Terminal details that can cause a missed flight

For airport-bound delivery, choose the terminal where you will actually collect the bag—not only the airport name. Airporter’s official counter guide currently lists Haneda collection at Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the 24-hour Terminal 3 counter, each with different hours and locations.

At Narita, Airporter lists collection counters at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. It does not deliver to a Terminal 3 counter; Terminal 3 passengers must collect at Terminal 2 and allow roughly ten minutes for the terminal connection. Build much more than ten minutes into a flight-day plan because counter pickup, terminal transfer and airline check-in are separate steps.

Airport delivery removes the suitcase from the train journey, but it adds a collection dependency. Schedule arrival well before the airline’s baggage-drop deadline and keep the tracking email accessible offline.

Which hotels qualify

Airporter says Tokyo coverage includes Haneda, Narita and Tokyo Station connections with hotels in Tokyo’s 23 wards and the Maihama area. Some properties are excluded, and a hotel without front-desk staff is not eligible for the standard hotel service.

Do not assume an Airbnb, apartment, residence or unmanned check-in property counts as a hotel. Airporter says some non-hotel pickups may be arranged on selected days for an additional charge, but that requires direct confirmation. Both the sending and receiving accommodation must be willing and able to handle the bag.

Size, weight and items that must stay with you

Each item can weigh no more than 30 kg. Airporter and Klook classify carry-on size up to 120 cm total dimensions, checked size up to 160 cm and oversized items above 160 cm through 180 cm, measured as length plus width plus height. The price changes by size and route.

Keep passports, identity documents, cash, bank cards, medication, keys, electronics needed that day and irreplaceable valuables with you. The Klook conditions exclude wallets, passports, jewelry, flammable or poisonous materials, animals and other prohibited contents. Perishable items are also excluded by Airporter.

Pack a day bag with chargers, a change of clothes, basic toiletries and anything required for one overnight delay. Same-day delivery is a logistics service, not permission to make your flight dependent on every essential arriving inside one suitcase.

Price and the honest value comparison

Airporter’s direct site currently lists tax-included Tokyo–Haneda prices per item from ¥1,650 for a carry-on-size piece, ¥2,200 for checked size and ¥3,850 for an oversized item. Tokyo–Narita prices start at ¥2,200, ¥2,750 and ¥4,400 respectively. These direct prices were checked on July 25, 2026.

Klook’s final USD price, promotions and cancellation rules can differ. Compare the same route, size and date rather than a headline “from” price. For two or more bags, also compare hotel storage, station lockers and the door-to-door cost of a taxi for your actual group.

Delay, damage and compensation limits

Weather, traffic, incorrect booking information and missed handoffs can delay delivery. Do not promise yourself that a bag will arrive because the booking was accepted. For flight-day use, choose a collection time that leaves a substantial recovery window.

Airporter’s service guidance sets conditions and exclusions for compensation. Its current FAQ says normal wear, aging handles, wheel wear and minor scratches, dents or dirt can be excluded; eligible damage generally has a reporting deadline and compensation limit. Klook’s package wording and any optional safety plan may differ, so read both before sending expensive luggage.

Inspect the bag at collection and photograph any problem immediately before leaving the counter or confirming completion. Keep proof of the bag’s pre-delivery condition when the contents or case are valuable.

When storage is the better choice

Use your hotel’s free storage when you are returning there before departure. Use a station or attraction locker when the bag fits, the locker location stays on your route and you do not need a guaranteed courier handoff. Use delivery when avoiding the return journey creates enough time or physical relief to justify the price and timing risk.

Travelers with a morning flight should generally send the bag the previous day or keep it with them; same-day afternoon availability does not solve an early departure. Anyone changing cities should also verify the route carefully—this Tokyo product is not a general nationwide takkyubin service.

How to book the Klook option safely

Select the origin, destination, delivery type, item size, item count and date before comparing the total. Check every hotel name and terminal on the final confirmation. Klook’s booking page is a commercial wrapper around Airporter’s operation, so the later Airporter email contains essential transaction and handoff steps.

The provider’s direct cancellation policy does not automatically apply to an external booking. Airporter explicitly tells customers who booked through another site to follow that site’s cancellation rules. Read the Klook package terms shown at checkout and do not assume a missed 9:00 handoff will be refunded.
