Before you book

Make these decisions in order.

  1. 01

Search with every adult, child and age, then confirm the selected room’s beds and legal occupancy instead of relying on the generic hotel capacity.

  2. 02

Choose a two-bedroom category with a listed washer-dryer when private laundry is essential; most four- and five-person rooms use the shared coin laundry.

  3. 03

Save the Nankai Namba South Exit or Nippombashi Exit 5 route and the full 3-6-24 address to avoid another Namba station or the new Annex.

  4. 04

Contact the hotel before a post-22:00 arrival and keep the reply with the booking confirmation.

  5. 05

Compare the complete Klook and official totals using the same room, meals, tax, payment timing and cancellation deadline.

What to know

Why this is different from a conventional Namba hotel

MIMARU Osaka Namba Station is an apartment hotel built for guests staying together rather than a collection of small sleeping rooms. Every listed apartment has a kitchen and dining area, and the core room types start at 35 m². Families can choose bunk or loft beds, while larger groups can book two-bedroom or game-focused concept rooms.

The value is strongest when several travelers would otherwise need two ordinary rooms, or when breakfast, simple dinners and laundry inside the stay reduce travel friction. Compare the total for the whole group, not only the nightly room headline.

What to know

“Namba Station” does not mean every Namba platform is four minutes away

The hotel’s official four-minute estimate is from the South Exit of Nankai Namba Station. That is particularly convenient for Nankai trains, including the corridor used for Kansai Airport. It is not a promise of a four-minute walk from every Osaka Metro, JR or Kintetsu platform carrying the Namba name.

The official alternative is about six minutes from Exit 5 of Nippombashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sennichimae and Sakaisuji lines or Kintetsu Nara Line. The hotel sits at 3-6-24 Nippombashi, close to Kuromon Market, Den Den Town and Sennichimae Doguyasuji rather than directly on the Dotonbori canal.

What to know

Airport access favors Nankai, but luggage changes the timing

MIMARU publishes an approximately 50-minute train journey from Kansai International Airport. The four-minute final walk begins after reaching the correct Nankai Namba exit; platform transfers, ticket purchase, lifts and a family’s luggage are extra.

From Osaka International Airport, also called Itami or ITM, the hotel lists about 50 minutes by train and monorail or about 40 minutes by limousine bus. Check the live route and final stop for the arrival time. MIMARU does not operate an airport shuttle.

What to know

Choose the room by beds, privacy and bathrooms

The 35 m² Family Apartment has two single beds and one bunk bed for up to four adults, while the 36 m² Loft Bed Apartment uses two singles and two loft beds. Both rely on the shared coin laundry. They suit a family that values one shared living space more than bedroom separation.

The 51 m² Two-Bedroom Japanese Apartment has two single beds, one bunk bed, two futons, two washbasins, two toilets, one bathroom and an in-room washer-dryer for up to six adults. The 61 m² Two-Bedroom Family Suite has four singles, a bunk bed, two toilets, one bathroom, one shower room and a washer-dryer.

The room name shown by a reseller may be shortened or translated. Confirm the official layout, exact bed count, number of toilets, bathroom or shower-room arrangement and washer status before paying.

What to know

Some one-bedroom categories begin only in 2027

The official page says the One-Bedroom Family Apartment and One-Bedroom Loft Bed Apartment are available for stays from February 1, 2027. They should not be treated as current 2026 inventory merely because their descriptions appear on the hotel page.

For a 2026 stay, use only a room that appears for the selected dates on the final booking screen. A future room category is not a guaranteed free upgrade or substitute if another room sells out.

What to know

Child occupancy is based on age at check-in

MIMARU’s official FAQ says up to two children aged six or under at check-in can share beds and are not counted toward the adult room capacity. Guests aged seven and over count as adults in the room search.

This policy does not create extra beds. A four-adult room with two bed-sharing children can be crowded even when permitted. Enter every child and age, confirm the bedding, and request a baby crib or bed guard early because the hotel says the free supply is limited and age restrictions apply.

What to know

The game rooms are real room categories, not a hotel-wide promise

The Kids’ Board Game Room, All-Night Board Game Room and Sky Terrace and Board Game Room are 39 m² concept categories for up to five adults, using two single beds and three futons. The All-Night room advertises ten games: six in the room and four selected from available options.

The 59 m² Werewolf and Murder Mystery Room accommodates up to six adults with four single beds and one bunk bed. It adds three washbasins, two toilets, a bathroom, a shower room and an in-room washer-dryer.

Book the named concept category if the games or terrace are important. A standard Family Apartment does not inherit another room’s game setup, outdoor space or washer merely because all rooms are in the same playful hotel.

What to know

Every room has a working kitchen, but there is no hotel restaurant

The official room equipment includes an induction hob, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cookware, knives, tableware and cleaning items. This is enough for breakfast and ordinary meals, although the available counter space and refrigerator capacity still depend on the room.

MIMARU states that it has no breakfast service, restaurant or room service. Food delivery and takeaway are permitted, and the Nipponbashi location makes shops and food options accessible. Guests who want a staffed breakfast buffet or late-night room service should choose a different hotel format.

What to know

Do not assume every room has private laundry

The official FAQ lists in-room washer-dryers at this property only in the Two-Bedroom Japanese Apartment, Two-Bedroom Family Suite and Werewolf and Murder Mystery Room. The standard bunk, loft and most five-person concept rooms state that no washer-dryer is installed.

A shared coin laundry is available for the other categories. If washing clothes is essential on a tightly timed family trip, book a room that explicitly lists the appliance or plan the shared laundry before the final night.

What to know

Housekeeping is designed for apartment stays

MIMARU’s general FAQ says daily service replaces bath towels, face towels and bath mats and includes vacuuming. Broader cleaning begins on the third day of the stay, excluding the check-in day, and is then provided every two days; it covers the bathroom and other areas except the kitchen and includes bed making.

Additional cleaning can be requested for a charge. Guests who expect full daily hotel-room servicing should account for this difference, while longer-stay travelers may prefer the reduced interruption.

What to know

Late arrival needs advance contact

The standard check-in time is from 15:00 and checkout is by 11:00. Klook currently lists the front desk as open from 07:00 to 22:00. MIMARU’s official FAQ says arrival after 22:00 is possible when the property is notified beforehand.

Do not let a flight delay turn into a no-show. Send the property the reservation name and estimated arrival time using the contact channel attached to the booking. A paid room does not remove the need to follow the late-arrival procedure.

What to know

Luggage storage is useful but not unlimited

The hotel offers free luggage storage from 07:00 to 22:00 on the check-in and checkout dates. Outside those times or dates, the published charge is ¥500 per item per day. Space is limited, and the hotel says it cannot store valuables, fragile items or food.

For advance delivery, use the reservation name and contact the property about timing and restrictions. A multi-day gap between two stays is not ordinary same-day storage and should be confirmed before sending a suitcase.

What to know

Do not confuse the hotel with the new Annex

MIMARU Osaka Namba Station is at 3-6-24 Nippombashi. MIMARU Osaka Namba Station Annex is a separate property at 3-6-4 and is scheduled to open on October 1, 2026. Their similar names and nearby addresses make a wrong-lobby arrival plausible.

Check the complete property name, address and confirmation before traveling. A booking at the original hotel cannot be assumed to transfer to the Annex, and the Annex’s future room categories are not facilities at this building.

What to know

Treat the Klook USJ shuttle highlight as unconfirmed

Klook currently displays a property highlight for a free shuttle to Universal Studios Japan with reservation required. The official MIMARU property page and general FAQ reviewed on July 26, 2026 do not publish enough matching detail to verify the operating dates, capacity, pickup or eligibility.

Do not include that shuttle as a financial or scheduling benefit until Klook or the hotel confirms it in writing for the exact stay. Build the USJ day around public transport unless a confirmed reservation states otherwise.

What to know

Accessibility and fitness require the right room

The official Accessible Family Apartment is 35 m² with two single beds, one bunk bed, wide passages and turning space, plus a universal-design unit bath. The hotel also provides an official universal-design access map from nearby stations.

Contact the hotel with the traveler’s wheelchair, transfer and bathroom requirements rather than relying on the category name alone. The fitness room is available only to guests aged 17 and over and does not substitute for accessible rehabilitation equipment.

What to know

Osaka accommodation tax may be payable separately

Osaka Prefecture’s accommodation tax is calculated per person per night from the qualifying room charge. The rates effective from September 1, 2025 are no tax below ¥5,000, ¥200 from ¥5,000 to under ¥15,000, ¥400 from ¥15,000 to under ¥20,000 and ¥500 from ¥20,000 upward.

A prepaid marketplace total may or may not collect the final tax. Check the Klook payment summary and keep a payment method available at the property rather than relying on the platform’s broad generic tax range.

What to know

How to compare Klook and the official rate

Search identical dates, every guest’s age, the same named room, bed arrangement, tax treatment, payment timing and cancellation deadline. MIMARU’s official site describes a best-rate guarantee only for qualifying like-for-like public offers and requires the comparison process stated in its FAQ.

Klook can be convenient for English checkout, USD comparison and KlookCash, but the selected rate controls cancellation and payment. Do not apply the hotel’s general direct-booking terms to a Klook reservation.

The paid link below has no fixed dates or guest count. Enter the real stay and confirm that the final room title matches the official layout before booking.

What to know

Who should book, and who should choose another base

Book for a family or group that wants to stay together near Nankai Namba, cook simple meals and choose a deliberate bunk, loft, two-bedroom or game-room layout. It is particularly practical for a multi-night Kansai itinerary when the room’s dining and laundry setup will actually be used.

Choose another property for a hotel restaurant, breakfast buffet, daily full cleaning, a compact room for one traveler or direct Osaka Station access. A couple paying a large apartment premium without using the shared space may receive better value elsewhere.

A good fit

Put it on your list if...

  • Families using the Nankai airport corridor and central Namba attractions
  • Four- to six-person groups comparing one apartment with multiple hotel rooms
  • Longer stays that benefit from a kitchen, dining table and laundry
  • Children and adults who intentionally book a bunk, loft or game room
  • Travelers making day trips through Nankai, Kintetsu or Osaka Metro

Think twice

Skip or reconsider if...

  • Guests who require a hotel restaurant, breakfast buffet or room service
  • Travelers expecting an in-room washer in every category
  • Solo travelers who will not use the apartment space
  • Visitors whose priority is direct Osaka or Shin-Osaka Station access
  • Late arrivals unwilling to notify the property before 22:00
  • Anyone valuing the stay around an unconfirmed USJ shuttle
