JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo: Rooms, Breakfast and Tax

What to know

The value is Hakata Station logistics, not resort facilities

The hotel is about two minutes on foot from the Hakata Exit of JR Hakata Station. That position is useful for the Sanyo and Kyushu Shinkansen, JR regional trains, the Airport Line subway, Hakata Bus Terminal and the station’s shops and restaurants.

Choose it for an early train, a late rail arrival, a short Fukuoka stay or a base for several Kyushu journeys. A Tenjin hotel can be better when shopping, nightlife, Nishitetsu trains and central-city evenings dominate the itinerary.

The official facilities pages do not advertise a public bath, natural onsen, pool or fitness room. The selling points are location, larger-than-basic rooms, breakfast and practical laundry—not a resort-style stay.

What to know

Do not go to the other Blossom hotel

JR Kyushu operates two Blossom properties on opposite sides of Hakata Station. JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo is at 2-2-11 Hakata-ekimae on the Hakata Exit side. JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Fukuoka is a different hotel on the Chikushi Exit side.

The official access page specifically warns guests about this distinction. Use the full name and street address for taxis, luggage delivery, map pins and messages to the property.

A room, breakfast, parking rule or cancellation term for Blossom Fukuoka does not automatically apply to Blossom Hakata Chuo. Check hotel ID 297508 on Klook before paying.

What to know

Airport access has different domestic and international steps

From Fukuoka Airport’s domestic side, the Airport Line runs two stops to Hakata in about five minutes. The hotel recommends Hakata Station West 19, which has an elevator, followed by about one minute on foot. West 18 is adjacent to the hotel but has stairs only and is published as available from 07:00–22:00.

The international terminal is not connected directly to the subway platform. The hotel lists a Nishitetsu bus from international-terminal stop 2 to Hakata Station in about 20 minutes, or the free terminal shuttle to the domestic side in about 15 minutes before taking the subway.

Those are operator estimates, not guaranteed door-to-door times. Allow for immigration, baggage, shuttle waits, road congestion and the walk through Hakata Station.

What to know

Choose the room by beds, not by the word superior

Standard Double is 19–20 square metres for two with one 160-by-200-centimetre bed. Superior Twin is 25 square metres for two with two 120-by-200-centimetre beds and more space for luggage. Neither room is published for three bed-using guests.

Superior Double is 23 square metres with one 160-centimetre bed. Since July 1, 2025, selected three-person plans can add a 90-by-200-centimetre sofa bed. Booking the same room for one or two does not mean the sofa bed will automatically be prepared.

Deluxe Twin is 29 square metres for two or three, using two regular 120-by-200-centimetre beds and a 120-by-188-centimetre trundle bed for the third guest. Search with the full party so Klook exposes an eligible three-person configuration.

• Superior Twin: 25 m², two 120 cm beds, capacity two.
• Superior Double: 23 m², 160 cm bed plus 90 cm sofa bed on eligible three-person plans.

What to know

Premium and Universal rooms solve different needs

Premium Twin is 29 square metres for two and one of only four rooms. It adds a high-floor outlook, feather pads, a night steamer and a bathroom with a separate washing area. The premium label does not increase occupancy beyond two.

The single Universal Double is 25 square metres for two with one 140-by-200-centimetre bed. The hotel describes wide aisles and no step between the bathroom and room, but does not publish every door, turning, transfer or bathroom measurement.

Contact the hotel with wheelchair dimensions, bed-transfer side and bathroom equipment needs before payment. Rental wheelchairs, bath chairs and other items are request-based and should not be treated as guaranteed.

What to know

Do not assume every bathroom is separate

The official room page explicitly promotes a separate washing-area bathroom for Premium Twin. It does not make that promise for every Standard, Superior or Deluxe room.

Inspect the selected room photos and facilities rather than carrying the Premium description across the building. Likewise, no official page reviewed on July 26, 2026 describes natural hot-spring water.

If a separate bath and toilet, accessible shower setup or child bathing arrangement is essential, obtain confirmation for the exact room type in writing.

What to know

Breakfast changed in May 2026

Nanatsu-no-Hana serves its Kyushu-focused Japanese and Western buffet from 06:30–10:00, with last entry at 09:30. The hotel raised the guest price on May 17, 2026 to ¥2,200 for adults and ¥1,320 for children, with infants free.

The buffet emphasizes Kyushu ingredients, vegetables, local dishes and a made-to-order noodle element, but the hotel says menus and photos are examples. Do not expect every pictured item on every date.

Klook can sell room-only and breakfast rates. Its current notes say breakfast included in an adult rate may not cover children aged 0–12, with a separate child charge for ages 7–12 and no meal charge for age six and under. Read the selected rate because room-age and meal-age rules are different.

What to know

Child occupancy and breakfast must be checked separately

Klook currently says children of all ages are welcome and children above age five are charged as adults for the stay. It also requires guests to enter children and infants accurately. That statement does not publish a complete bed-sharing allowance for every room.

A child eating free breakfast is not automatically a free room occupant, and a child charged as an adult still needs an eligible bed and room capacity. Enter every real age before comparing Standard, Superior and Deluxe inventory.

Baby cots, bed guards, baby baths, bottle sterilizers and children’s amenities appear on the hotel’s request list. Confirm availability, permitted age and whether the item physically fits the chosen room before relying on it.

Fukuoka City accommodation tax is ¥200 or ¥500

Fukuoka City charges accommodation tax per guest per night. The combined city and prefectural amount is ¥200 when the taxable accommodation charge is below ¥20,000 and ¥500 when it is ¥20,000 or more.

The threshold applies to the accommodation charge per person per night under the city calculation, not simply to an undivided multi-night room total. Meals and consumption tax are treated separately under the official rules.

Klook’s generic tax wording spans many destinations and is not a reliable Fukuoka calculation. Check the property-pay line at checkout and budget the official ¥200 or ¥500 band for each chargeable guest and night.

What to know

Consecutive stays use eco-cleaning

Since May 20, 2025, the hotel has used an eco-cleaning program for consecutive stays. Standard room cleaning is performed every three nights.

On an eco-cleaning day, staff replace towels, loungewear and amenities and collect rubbish rather than completing the full standard clean. Guests who want standard cleaning that day must ask the front desk by 10:00.

This matters on a long stay, especially for families or guests working in the room. Do not assume a daily full clean merely because Klook lists housekeeping as a facility.

What to know

Laundry and internet support practical stays

Coin laundries operate 24 hours a day on the fifth, eleventh and twelfth floors. The official page does not publish machine count, price, detergent arrangement, cycle time or live availability, so check before depending on one narrow evening.

Guest rooms and the lobby have Wi-Fi, while rooms also have wired LAN and the hotel lists cables. No official page promises a minimum speed, low latency or creator-grade upload performance.

Remote workers should keep mobile data as a backup and avoid scheduling a critical call before testing the actual room connection. A 40-inch television, empty refrigerator, safe, kettle and humidifying air purifier are listed room facilities.

What to know

Luggage storage is listed by Klook, but confirm the limits

Klook currently lists luggage storage among the property facilities. Its public page does not state the permitted dates, item sizes, collection deadline or treatment of valuables.

Ask the hotel whether storage is available before check-in, after checkout or for an incoming delivery on the exact date. Never assume overnight storage, refrigerated storage or acceptance of an unaccompanied shipment.

Keep passports, medication, money, electronics and fragile items with you. Hakata Station lockers provide a fallback, but availability can be poor during holiday and event peaks.

Parking is offsite, first come and restrictive

There is no car park on the hotel grounds. The hotel directs drivers to Center Parking or New Center Parking about one minute away, without reservations and on a first-come basis.

The current affiliated rate is ¥2,000 for 17 hours, then ¥200 for each additional 20 minutes. The published vehicle limits are five metres long, two metres wide, 2.1 metres high and two tonnes.

You cannot leave and re-enter on one parking use; a new fee applies each time. Multi-night stays and early arrival can create excess charges, so rail is usually the simpler choice for a Hakata-based itinerary.

What to know

Klook’s selected rate controls cancellation

Klook’s public hotel page does not create one cancellation rule for every date and room. Flexible, prepaid and restrictive offers can appear for the same property.

Enter the stay dates, room count and every guest, then record the room name, beds, breakfast coverage, property tax, payment timing, cancellation deadline and no-show charge. Klook currently expects check-in before midnight and says after-hours check-in is unavailable, so contact the property before a late arrival.

Compare the identical room directly because the hotel advertises a best-rate guarantee. Klook may still be preferable for a useful USD total or promotion, but only a like-for-like final checkout is meaningful.

Final booking sequence

First, decide whether Hakata Station convenience beats a Tenjin base. Second, select Standard Double or Superior Twin for two, or an eligible Superior Double or Deluxe Twin for three. Confirm Premium and Universal room needs directly.

Then enter every child, compare breakfast coverage and add Fukuoka accommodation tax. Read the cleaning cycle, parking terms, payment timing and cancellation deadline before paying.

After booking, save the full hotel name, Hakata Exit route, voucher, late-arrival contact and selected room details offline. Recheck transport and hotel notices shortly before arrival.
