Identify the exact hotel before paying

This guide covers JR-East Hotel Mets Premier Sapporo at 5-3, Nishi 2, Kita 7, Kita-ku, Klook hotel 403595. The current official English name includes “Premier,” although older listings and the Japanese CSV label may shorten the property to JR-East Hotel Mets Sapporo.

Do not confuse it with JR Inn Sapporo on the west side of the station, JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, or other station-area hotels carrying JR in the name. They use different exits, room layouts, breakfast systems and cancellation terms.

Match three identifiers before payment: hotel 403595, the North 7 West 2 address and the official property photos. A similarly named result is not another room category in this building.

What to know

Use the East Ticket Gate and North Exit

The hotel’s official route is a two-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, using the East Ticket Gate and North Exit. The property is north-east of the JR platforms rather than beside the West Ticket Gate route used for JR Inn Sapporo.

New Chitose Airport to Sapporo is advertised as about 40 minutes on the JR Rapid Airport train. That is train time, not a door-to-room promise: add airport-platform walking, ticketing, luggage, the station exit and check-in.

Save the official access page offline and follow the final street map instead of relying only on a hotel-name search. Snow, road work and a large suitcase can make the last two minutes materially slower.

What to know

Station development can create overnight noise

The property has an active development notice for work on the road in front of the main entrance and elsewhere around the hotel. It gives a period beginning in November 2021 and continuing “for the time being,” and specifically warns that construction may generate noise during midnight.

This is important for light sleepers, remote meetings and creators recording audio. Ask for the latest work schedule and a quieter room position before the stay, but treat a room request as subject to availability rather than guaranteed.

The same work can change pedestrian approaches, taxi stopping points and the feel of the station district. Recheck the official hotel homepage near arrival, especially when bringing large luggage or arriving after the last regular transport connections.

What to know

Choose the room by its real sleeping layout

The 17m² Superior Single has one 140-by-195-centimetre bed and is officially listed for one or two people. The flooring version has the same area and bed size; the floor finish, not extra space, is the distinction.

The 21m² Superior Twin has two permanent 120-by-195-centimetre beds for one or two guests. The 26m² Deluxe Twin accepts up to three by adding one 90-by-177-centimetre extra bed to its two regular beds.

The 34m² Deluxe Comfort Twin accepts up to four, but the third and fourth sleeping places are two 77-by-216-centimetre sofa beds. It also adds a dining table and speaker. Search with the full party because a two-person photo or room name does not prove that extra beds are prepared.

What to know

Every room has a separate washing-area bathroom

The most meaningful room feature is consistent across the official inventory: every room has a bathroom with a separate washing area. This is different from a compact unit bath where the toilet, basin and bathtub share one small wet zone.

The published in-room equipment includes a multifunction ReFa shower head, humidifying air purifier, Smart TV, mobile-phone charger, HDMI cable, kettle and massage cushion. Lobby amenities include bath salts and skincare items, but availability can change.

Separate-bath design can make a short winter stay more comfortable, yet it does not enlarge the sleeping area. A 17m² room remains compact after opening suitcases, so choose the 21m² or larger twin when floor space matters.

What to know

Children must fit both the hotel and marketplace rules

The hotel permits up to one bed-sharing child per bed. Children under six who are still preschool age stay free when sharing, while elementary-school-age children and older are charged the adult rate. The room page therefore shows one preschool child for the one-bed Single and two for twin categories.

Klook’s public child summary currently displays a narrower and confusing “aged 0 or below” bed-sharing line while also saying detailed policy can differ by hotel. Do not omit a child or assume the official rule will automatically appear in the marketplace total.

Enter each child’s real age and ask Klook or the hotel for written confirmation if the room card rejects or reprices the party. Towels for preschool children require advance request or a request at check-in; children’s pajamas, slippers and toothbrushes are provided at check-in. Preschool breakfast is free.

What to know

Breakfast is a paid Hokkaido buffet

Source72 on the first floor serves a Japanese-Western buffet with Hokkaido specialties and seafood from 06:30 to 10:00, with last order at 09:30. The hotel’s checked price is ¥1,980 including tax, and takeout is not available.

Breakfast is limited to hotel guests. Same-day coupons may be purchased at the front desk, but the official FAQ says sales depend on reservation status. A room-only booking therefore does not guarantee a last-minute breakfast place.

Compare a breakfast-included rate with the room-only total plus ¥1,980 per paying guest. Confirm the marketplace’s child inclusion separately; the hotel states that preschool children eat free, but the selected Klook package controls what is recorded on the reservation.

What to know

Luggage, laundry and housekeeping suit a multi-night stay

The front desk stores luggage free on the day of check-in and until midnight on the day of checkout. That helps with an early airport-train arrival or an evening departure, but it is not permission to leave bags for several days between separate reservations.

Coin laundry accepts cash, transport IC cards and QR payments, and machine availability can be checked on the room TV. The hotel also offers paid clothing laundry, dry cleaning and pressing through the front desk, subject to item and service availability.

For consecutive nights, guests can choose regular cleaning, eco cleaning or no cleaning. Eco cleaning omits sheet changes and vacuuming. Make the selection deliberately rather than assuming a low-cost plan includes a full daily reset.

What to know

There is no hotel parking

The official access page tells drivers to use nearby coin parking. It does not publish a hotel guest rate, reserved space or guaranteed re-entry arrangement.

A nearby map marker is not proof of availability during snow events, festivals or weekends. Check the actual car park’s vehicle-height limit, overnight period, maximum charge and re-entry rules before driving into central Sapporo.

Rail access is the hotel’s strongest transport advantage. Travelers returning a rental car in Sapporo may find it simpler to return the vehicle before the stay rather than paying city-centre parking and navigating development work.

Add the 2026 Sapporo accommodation tax

For stays from April 1, 2026, both Sapporo City and Hokkaido accommodation taxes apply per person per night, even when the reservation was made before the start date. The combined amount is ¥300 below ¥20,000, ¥400 from ¥20,000 to below ¥50,000, and ¥1,000 at ¥50,000 or more.

The bracket is based on the taxable room-only accommodation charge assigned to each guest. Meals, consumption tax and eligible extras are not simply added to determine the band, and qualifying school or preschool group activities can be exempt.

Klook’s generic notice currently shows a much wider possible local-tax range. Use the Sapporo City authority table for the calculation, then inspect checkout and the voucher to see whether the tax is prepaid or collected at the hotel.

What to know

Marketplace and hotel payment statements differ

The official hotel page accepts Japanese yen cash, listed credit cards, transport IC payments up to ¥20,000 and several QR payment services. Klook’s general property policy currently says cash is not accepted. These statements can describe different stages of a prepaid or pay-at-property booking.

Follow the payment method shown on the exact Klook rate at checkout and on the confirmation. Do not arrive expecting to change a prepaid marketplace reservation into a cash hotel booking, and do not assume a card accepted by Klook is accepted for every on-site incidental.

The hotel publishes its own standard cancellation fees, but a Klook package can use different deadlines and amounts. The selected marketplace cancellation rule controls that marketplace reservation.

How to compare Klook with the official rate

Open the paid link below, enter the real dates and every guest, then match room area, bed layout, breakfast, payment timing and cancellation deadline. Add any accommodation tax not collected by the seller before deciding which total is lower.

Choose the Superior Single for compact one-bed value, Superior Twin for two permanent beds, Deluxe Twin only when the third extra bed is confirmed, or Deluxe Comfort Twin when the sofa-bed layout and 34m² area suit the whole party.

Book when station access, the separate bath and buffet justify the rate and the construction notice is acceptable. Compare JR Inn Sapporo when a simpler complimentary breakfast and west-side station route are more important than a larger bath and 11:00 checkout.
