Before you book

Make these decisions in order.

  1. 01

Confirm that Klook hotel 1253905 is Osaka Shinsaibashi at 2-7-12—not Candeo Hotels Osaka Namba or Osaka The Tower.

  2. 02

Choose King, Twin or Triple from the exact floor area, permanent beds, bathroom and real adult-child composition.

  3. 03

Read the SkySpa rules before booking, especially diapers, tattoo covers, towels, swimwear and sauna downtime.

  4. 04

Compare the same room, guests, breakfast, cancellation, Osaka accommodation tax and membership benefits on Klook and the official site.

  5. 05

Treat the temple experiences and any shuttle shown by a reseller as separate, confirmation-required products rather than automatic room benefits.

What to know

This hotel is physically integrated with Mitsutera Temple

Candeo Hotels Osaka Shinsaibashi opened on November 26, 2023 around the preserved main hall of Shippozan Daifukuin Mitsutera Temple. The operator describes a temple with more than 1,200 years of history held within the building’s atrium rather than demolished for the hotel.

That architectural relationship is the property’s clearest reason to choose it over a generic Minami hotel. Guests stay above an active religious site on Midosuji, close to Dotonbori, while the upper floor provides a modern rooftop bath and sauna.

It is still a working temple, not hotel décor. Ordinary accommodation does not grant unrestricted entry, photography, ceremonies or private cultural access. Approach the hall as a religious place and follow the temple’s rules.

What to know

The location suits Dotonbori nights and Shinsaibashi shopping

The official address is 2-7-12 Shinsaibashi-Suji, Chuo Ward. Candeo lists both Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi Station and Namba Station at about five minutes on foot, placing the hotel between two useful Minami transport areas.

Klook’s current map places Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street about 100 metres away and the Glico sign about 200 metres away. These map estimates are commercial planning aids, not promised walking times, but they show why the hotel fits an itinerary centered on food, nightlife and shopping.

The trade-off is terminal convenience. The building is not connected to Nankai Namba, Osaka-Namba, JR Namba or an Osaka Metro station, and each “Namba” facility has different platforms. A traveler with luggage should map the exact arrival line and exit.

What to know

Do not confuse Osaka Shinsaibashi with two other Candeo hotels

Candeo Hotels Osaka Shinsaibashi, Candeo Hotels Osaka Namba and Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower are separate properties. The Shinsaibashi hotel uses Klook listing 1253905 and the 2-7-12 Shinsaibashi-Suji address.

Osaka Namba is at 2-2-5 Higashi-Shinsaibashi and has different station walks, rooms, parking and tattoo rules. Osaka The Tower is in Dojimahama near Yodoyabashi, far north of Dotonbori.

Check the full property name and address on the voucher before paying. A search result labeled only “Candeo Osaka” is not precise enough to establish where you will sleep.

What to know

The King is compact and has a shower, not a bathtub

The official King category is 19–20 m² with one 1,800 mm Simmons bed. Capacity is one or two adults plus one bed-sharing child, and the room includes a raised koagari sofa area.

Its private bathroom is a shower room. Choose it when a couple is comfortable sharing one bed and expects to use the rooftop bath, or when a solo traveler wants more bed width than a typical business hotel.

Do not assume every room has the bathtub shown in another category’s gallery. If a private soak, two separate beds or space for multiple suitcases matters, compare the Twin rather than relying on the shared SkySpa.

What to know

The Twin adds space and a separate washing area

The Twin is 24 m² with two 1,000 mm Simmons beds. The official capacity is one to three adults plus up to two bed-sharing children, subject to the hotel’s age and occupancy rules.

Its private bathroom has a separate bathtub and washing area. That can be decisive for a family, a friend trip or anyone who does not want to use a shared public bath.

A three-adult booking needs the exact third-person arrangement confirmed at checkout. The room page publishes two permanent beds, and Klook says extra beds are not allowed; do not assume that a third adult automatically receives a third standard bed.

What to know

Triple rooms are the credible group choice

The 34 m² Executive Triple has three 1,000 mm Simmons beds and official capacity for one to five adults plus up to three bed-sharing children. The 38 m² Deluxe Triple also has three permanent beds and capacity for one to four adults plus up to three bed-sharing children.

Both list a separate bathtub and washing area. The Deluxe adds more floor area and a dining table; the Executive has the higher published adult capacity. These differences matter more than a generic “triple” label.

Large-party capacity does not mean every person receives a separate bed. Enter every guest and age, then obtain the actual sleeping arrangement, price and fire-safety occupancy from the selected rate before paying.

What to know

The hotel and Klook describe children differently

The official FAQ says children aged five and under stay free only when sharing a bed, while guests aged six and over are treated as adults for accommodation. Each room page separately states the maximum number of bed-sharing children.

Klook’s public summary currently says children above 12 are charged as adults and describes one child aged 12 or below sharing a bed. That conflicts with the hotel’s official age threshold and does not reflect the room-by-room capacities.

Use the stricter property rule when budgeting: enter guests aged six and over as adults unless the hotel confirms otherwise for the exact plan. Confirm breakfast separately because its age bands are different from room charges.

What to know

The rooftop SkySpa is guest-only and open overnight

The top-floor SkySpa contains indoor and open-air baths, a cold-water bath and auto-loyly sauna areas for both men and women. It is included for registered hotel guests and operates from 15:00 until 11:00 the next morning.

The sauna is unavailable from 02:00 to 06:00. The long bath window is useful after a late Dotonbori night or before checkout, but cleaning, maintenance or operational restrictions can still affect access.

Bring the room towel because the SkySpa does not provide towels at the bath. Swimwear is not allowed, and ordinary Japanese public-bath washing etiquette applies.

What to know

Tattoo covers are required at this property

The Osaka Shinsaibashi SkySpa page instructs guests with tattoos to use tattoo-cover stickers, available at reception. It does not publish the unrestricted tattoo acceptance stated by the separate Candeo Hotels Osaka Namba property.

Confirm the current cover size, number allowed and whether a tattoo can be fully concealed before booking around the bath. A large or multiple tattoo may not fit the cover process.

If bathing access is essential and the tattoo cannot be covered, compare the Osaka Namba property or choose a room with a private bathtub. Do not test the rule after undressing in the bath area.

What to know

Children in diapers cannot use the baths

The official SkySpa rules do not allow children who still wear diapers to enter the baths. The Japanese page also says guests aged seven and above use the gender-separated side corresponding to the facility rule.

There is no general minimum age, but every child must be supervised by a parent or guardian. A family may need to alternate bath visits when the child cannot enter or when the accompanying adults cannot use the same side.

A room’s private shower or bath is the reliable family fallback. Choose the room layout before paying rather than assuming the rooftop bath works for every child.

What to know

Breakfast is a premium-priced 07:00 start

Breakfast is served in the fourth-floor restaurant from 07:00 to 10:30, with last entry at 10:00. The current official price is ¥3,300 before tax, or ¥3,630 including tax, for an adult.

Children aged six to 11 are ¥1,650 before tax, or ¥1,815 including tax; children under six are free. The buffet includes Japanese and Western selections, lacto-ovo vegetarian dishes, pastries and changing daily items, but the menu can change with ingredients.

A 07:00 start may be too late for an early Kyoto, airport or Shinkansen departure. Compare the breakfast-included rate with room-only for every chargeable guest instead of valuing it at zero.

What to know

Temple experiences are separate bookable plans

The hotel currently advertises a Mitsutera morning-service plan beginning at 07:30 for about 30 minutes. The published rules require punctuality, removing shoes, silence in the hall and no photography of the Buddhist image.

A separate sutra and Buddhist-image tracing plan operates within published hours and includes its own reservation and conduct rules. The operator lists a hotel-guest-only period from 17:00 to 18:00, but this does not mean every guest may join without the correct plan or booking.

Select a live offer that explicitly includes the desired experience. A standard Klook room is not evidence of temple-program admission, and ordinary access does not permit monetized filming.

What to know

Check-in, late arrival and cancellation need rate-level review

Standard check-in is from 15:00 and checkout is by 11:00. The official FAQ says payment for a direct booking is settled at check-in and lists cash, major cards and multiple contactless or QR methods.

Klook currently displays check-in before midnight. Travelers arriving later should contact the hotel before travel and keep the written answer; a 24-hour front-desk label does not override the purchased plan’s arrival policy.

The hotel’s baseline policy for bookings of up to nine guests is 50% on the day before arrival and 100% on the arrival day or for a no-show, while non-refundable plans remain 100% regardless of cancellation date. The selected Klook or direct rate can have its own controlling terms.

What to know

Luggage storage is same-day and rooms have no safe

The hotel can hold luggage before check-in or after checkout only on the respective check-in or checkout day. It will not store valuables, fragile items or food.

Advance delivery requires contacting the hotel first; otherwise it may refuse the parcel. This is not a standard multi-day storage service for a side trip.

The official FAQ says there is no safe or security box in the guest room and the hotel cannot hold valuables. Keep passports, cash, electronics and medicine under your own control and use a separate plan for high-value production equipment.

What to know

Parking has hours, height limits and no reservation

The hotel has no dedicated car park. Its current affiliated option is Midosuji Car Pit at 2-5-5 Nishi-Shinsaibashi, with a published guest charge of ¥2,000 from 12:00 to 12:00 the next day.

The mechanical facility is open from 08:00 to 22:00, with no entry or exit after 22:00. It accepts low-roof vehicles up to 1,550 mm and high-roof vehicles up to 2,050 mm, subject to the facility’s other size limits.

Parking is first come, cannot be reserved and requires presenting the ticket at reception. Recheck the live conditions before driving because overnight hours and vehicle dimensions can change the usefulness of the hotel.

What to know

Osaka accommodation tax can be added at the property

For stays from September 1, 2025, Osaka Prefecture charges accommodation tax per person per night on the room-only taxable amount: no tax below ¥5,000, ¥200 from ¥5,000 to under ¥15,000, ¥400 from ¥15,000 to under ¥20,000 and ¥500 from ¥20,000.

Meals, consumption tax and the accommodation tax itself are excluded from the taxable room amount. Klook’s generic city-tax range is not the Osaka calculation, so inspect the checkout breakdown and prepare for collection at the hotel when it is not prepaid.

Calculate per person, not from the total price of a multi-guest room. A higher room category can place each traveler in a different band depending on how the taxable charge is allocated.

What to know

Do not rely on an unconfirmed USJ shuttle

Klook’s current property highlights mention a free Universal Studios Japan shuttle requiring reservation. The hotel’s public official access, FAQ and property pages checked for this guide do not establish that service, timetable, pickup point, eligible guests or booking method.

Treat it as unconfirmed reseller content unless the hotel gives written, current instructions for the stay date. Do not choose the property or buy a timed USJ ticket around a shuttle that may be seasonal, limited, third-party or no longer operating.

The normal rail route remains the dependable planning baseline. Check Osaka Metro and JR operations for the actual date and leave enough time for transfers and park entry.

What to know

Compare Klook with official membership benefits

Klook can be useful when its live USD total, cancellation terms and room inventory suit the traveler. The official site advertises a best-rate guarantee subject to conditions and CLUB CANDEO benefits that can include priority early check-in and a complimentary one-hour checkout extension to 12:00.

Compare the exact room, guests, breakfast, tax, payment timing and cancellation. A Klook Twin without breakfast is not equivalent to an official member Twin with breakfast and late checkout.

Save the final room name, adult-child composition, policy and total. If SkySpa access, temple participation, a third bed or late arrival is decisive, obtain written confirmation before the free-cancellation deadline.

What to know

Final booking sequence

First confirm hotel 1253905 and the 2-7-12 address. Choose the room from permanent beds, floor area, private bathroom and actual adults under the hotel’s age rule.

Next, decide whether the SkySpa rules work for tattoos and children, and whether breakfast or a temple plan adds real value. Compare identical Klook and official rates, including Osaka tax.

Save the precise station exit, tell the hotel about late arrival or advance luggage, and keep alternate transport for USJ. Treat religious-space access and photography as permission-based, not as hotel decoration.
