Klook’s current activity 90365 offers “Yoichi Fruit Picking Day Trip” with the fruit-picking ticket included or not included. Both sit under the same ten-hour Sapporo-departure tour page, so the visible headline price may reflect the package without orchard admission.

Choose the included version when picking and eating fruit is central to the day. The non-included version can suit a traveler who only wants the coastal route, but the public overview does not guarantee that admission can be purchased on site, how much it will cost or what alternative activity is offered while others pick.

Open the selected package details and compare the full inclusions, not only the price difference. Save the package name because the shared itinerary photographs do not show which admission you bought.

What to know

The fruit is seasonal—even when the tour is operating

Klook describes summer possibilities such as cherries, peaches and blueberries and autumn possibilities such as grapes, apples and pears. It also states that the actual fruit is adjusted for season, weather and harvest conditions.

That means a July booking is not a cherry guarantee and an autumn booking is not automatically an apple-picking guarantee. Ripeness, rain, heat, orchard workload and how many earlier groups have picked can change the available crop.

Book for seasonal fruit rather than one named variety. If a dietary issue, mobility need or specific fruit is the deciding factor, ask Klook to confirm the orchard and expected crop close to the date while accepting that agriculture cannot be guaranteed.

What to know

Included admission does not guarantee the advertised harvest

The ticket-included package protects the admission decision, but it cannot create ripe fruit. Klook’s own wording allows the orchard experience to change with actual harvest conditions.

Before payment, check what the operator provides if picking is unavailable: a fruit tasting, packaged fruit, another stop, partial refund or only an itinerary adjustment. The public overview does not publish one guaranteed replacement.

Do not use a past review as the contract. A guest who picked cherries, strawberries or apples on another date only describes that departure.

What to know

Cape Kamui’s tip is conditional, not a guaranteed stop

The most dramatic part of Cape Kamui is Charenka’s Path from the Gate of No Return to the tip. Hokkaido’s tourism site describes a roughly 20-minute walk each way and a 300-degree panorama at the end.

Shakotan Town warns that the gate and path may close for strong wind, rain, other weather and safety conditions. Klook also identifies bear sightings as a reason the guide may be unable to take the group to the tip.

When the path closes, the cape can still offer views nearer the gate, but the famous end-of-cape perspective is unavailable. Klook says the guide may extend other stops or add a nearby attraction; it does not promise a specific substitute or refund.

What to know

The latest town notice does not replace a same-day check

Shakotan Town’s trail-status notice dated April 9, 2026 said the Cape Kamui trail could be used and that the Gate of No Return would reopen from April 10. The same notice repeated that the gate can close when weather deteriorates.

That published seasonal opening is not a live guarantee for a later tour date. The road entrance gate also has month-specific admission and closing times and can shut early in rain, wind or snow.

Check the town’s newest notice and weather before leaving Sapporo, then follow the guide’s safety decision. A blue-sky forecast in Sapporo does not establish conditions on the exposed Sea of Japan cape.

What to know

The cape walk is short in distance but exposed and uneven

The path to the tip is about 770 metres and includes slopes and steps. Wind exposure can make the out-and-back walk more demanding than its distance suggests, especially within a fixed coach stop.

Wear secure shoes, keep both hands available and bring a light wind or rain layer. A loose hat, umbrella, large camera rig or dangling bag is poorly matched to strong coastal gusts.

Travelers who cannot complete the walk comfortably can use viewpoints closer to the gate if open. Confirm with the guide where and when to regroup rather than pushing past the safe turnaround time.

Shimamui’s viewpoint and beach path are different

Klook promotes Shimamui Coast as another Shakotan seascape. Shakotan Town’s April 9, 2026 trail notice said the Shimamui viewpoint was available but the path down to the beach remained closed.

A stop at the viewpoint therefore does not guarantee access to the shoreline. Do not plan swimming, beach photography or a water-level walk from the general stop name.

Check the newest town notice because repairs and safety restrictions can change. The tour operator may also alter stop duration or omit a location due to road and weather conditions.

The Nikka stop is not the reserved production-area tour

Klook describes a stop at Nikka’s Yoichi Distillery, but Nikka distinguishes two visitor products. Its staff-led outdoor production-area tour includes explanation and tasting and requires advance reservation. Entry without a reservation is limited to the museum, paid tasting bar, shop and restaurant side, with no access to the outdoor production area or staff guide.

Unless activity 90365’s selected package explicitly includes a separate Nikka reservation, expect the non-reserved area. The Nikka Museum and paid tasting bar currently operate 09:15–16:15, with bar last order at 16:00; the restaurant operates 10:00–15:50 with last order at 15:20.

The coach timetable may give less time than those facility hours suggest. Decide whether the museum, shopping, food or paid tasting is your priority instead of expecting to complete everything.

What to know

Whisky tasting is optional, paid and age-restricted

Nikka identifies its museum tasting bar as paid. A general visit to the museum or shop does not promise complimentary whisky, a guided tasting or stock of a particular limited bottle.

Japan’s legal drinking age is 20. Nikka also warns against underage drinking and drinking and driving. Although this is a coach tour, travelers should still consider medication, pregnancy, nursing and personal limits.

Confirm the guide’s departure time before ordering. Missing the bus for a tasting is not protected by the venue’s last-order time.

Ten hours is an estimate across a long road route

Klook publishes a ten-hour duration, not a guaranteed arrival time in central Sapporo. The day crosses western Hokkaido by road and includes several timed stops, so traffic, weather, group punctuality and vehicle changes can move the finish.

Do not place a fixed dinner, airport train or last intercity connection immediately after the advertised return. Keep the evening flexible and use the final voucher’s meeting and return estimates.

If the group is small, Klook says a sedan or minivan may be used and the driver may also act as guide, providing only simple attraction and timing introductions while prioritising driving safety.

What to know

Published languages do not guarantee equal live commentary

The activity header currently lists English, Chinese and Japanese. A multilingual listing may still involve consecutive explanations, translation tools or a driver-guide format rather than continuous English narration.

Ask what language the assigned guide will use when detailed interpretation is essential. Klook’s small-group vehicle clause explicitly limits the driver-guide to simple introductions and timing information.

Save written meeting messages and return times. Visual confirmation of the bus number and guide contact can matter more than a long commentary on a multi-stop day.

Infants, seats and child safety require deliberate booking

Klook currently says children under two may join free without a seat. If an infant needs a seat, an adult fare must be purchased. It also warns that an unreported passenger count can cause refusal, reduction or rescheduling without a refund for the reduction.

A lap-infant policy is a marketplace rule, not a recommendation about the safest restraint for your family. Ask about child seats, vehicle type and whether the operator can secure the restraint you require before payment.

The cape path, orchard terrain, long road time and limited toilets also affect family suitability. A stroller may not solve the uneven trail and counts as luggage under the operator’s advance-notice policy.

Luggage, strollers and wheelchairs can create an extra cash charge

Klook requires advance notice for luggage, strollers and wheelchairs because vehicle type is assigned by group size. It says the operator confirms three to five days before departure whether the vehicle can carry the item.

When carriage is possible, the current listing states a ¥1,500 handling and reserved-space fee per item, paid in cash to the guide before boarding. That detail was checked on July 26, 2026 and should be rechecked before travel.

Paying the vehicle fee does not make Cape Kamui or the orchard step-free. Confirm both transport storage and on-site mobility separately.

What to know

Food and sea urchin are not guaranteed by the route name

The shared tour title and core stop descriptions do not list an included lunch or sea-urchin meal. Shakotan is associated with seafood, but a coastal stop does not promise time, availability or budget for a particular restaurant.

Open the package inclusions and itinerary for the actual meal arrangement. Carry water and a small backup snack that complies with orchard and vehicle rules, especially if dietary restrictions make a short roadside stop difficult.

Nikka’s restaurant has its own opening and last-order times, but the bus stop may not overlap enough for a meal. Do not use venue hours to override the guide’s departure.

Minimum participants and itinerary substitution are real risks

Klook currently requires six people for the tour to operate. If the minimum is not met, it says guests will be offered a reschedule or full refund.

That policy does not protect separately booked hotels, flights or non-refundable evening plans. Watch the booking channel for confirmation and avoid making the tour the only possible day for a must-see coastal trip.

Weather, bears, harvest conditions and traffic can also change the route after operation is confirmed. Book the combination and transport convenience, not an absolute promise of every photograph on the page.

First decide whether fruit picking is essential and select the included or non-included package accordingly. Second, accept that the crop, Cape Kamui tip and Shimamui beach path can change independently.
