What to know
Why this is not the same as every Mount Omuro tour
Klook activity 154978 currently combines a road-based Izu scenic-spots tour and an ocean-view-train variation on one sales page. The overlapping place names can hide meaningful differences in transport, lift inclusion and what can be substituted.
The shared appeal is Izu’s volcanic story: Mount Omuro is a 580-metre cone formed around 4,000 years ago, and lava from that eruption helped form Jogasaki Coast. Ito Marine Town and the Atami coastline are supporting stops rather than the geological headline.

What to know
Package 1: scenic spots with the lift included
Klook currently labels one option “Izu Sankei Sightseeing (Including Ropeway Ticket).” Despite the English word ropeway, Mount Omuro uses a two-seat open chairlift, not an enclosed gondola.
This is the most straightforward first-visit choice when reaching the crater rim is the priority. It removes one onsite ticket decision and makes the intended Mount Omuro experience clearer in the order.
Still open the itemized package details before payment. Save a screenshot of the selected package name and inclusion list because the lift can suspend for wind, lightning, maintenance or other safety reasons.
What to know
Package 2: scenic spots without the lift
A second “Izu Sankei Tour” option excludes the Mount Omuro lift ticket. It may make sense when the checkout saving is greater than the official ticket cost or when part of the group does not intend to ride.
The official round-trip price checked July 26, 2026 is ¥1,000 for ages 12 and over and ¥500 for elementary-school children ages 6–11; preschool children ride free. Compare those amounts with the actual package difference, not the crossed-out promotional price.
Buying separately does not create priority access. Klook warns that weekend lift queues can be longer, and the group schedule may limit how much time remains after purchase.
What to know
Package 3: the ocean-view train without the lift
The “Izu Omuroyama Sea View Train Day Trip” currently excludes the Mount Omuro lift. Select it only when adding a short Izukyu rail experience is more important than maximizing time at every road stop.
Izukyu’s official Resort 21 page describes the Kurofune and Kinme trains as all-unreserved-seat ordinary trains. There are no reserved seats, so the tour name does not promise a specific panorama seat.
Klook explicitly says the Kurofune train can be replaced by an 8000-series train or Kinme train when it is not operating. Izukyu likewise warns that Resort 21 equipment can change without notice.
What to know
Do not buy the train option for a guaranteed window photo
Resort 21 is designed around Izu scenery, including ocean-facing seating in parts of the train, but seat availability, direction, crowding and the exact train set are operational variables.
The Izu route also includes tunnels and inland sections. An “ocean-view train” product does not mean continuous unobstructed sea views or a private sightseeing carriage.
Choose the train package for the novelty of including local rail in the day. If a particular Kurofune exterior, front observation position or guaranteed seat is essential, this package is too uncertain.
What to know
Mount Omuro is accessible only by the lift
Mount Omuro is a protected national natural monument, and the operator prohibits walking up the cone. When the lift is suspended, there is no walking route to recover the summit portion.
The operator lists March–September hours as 09:00–17:00 with the last descent at 17:15, and October–February as 09:00–16:00 with the last descent at 16:15. A guided tour still follows its own shorter stop window.
The crater circuit is about 1,000 metres and normally takes 20–30 minutes, but the official page warns that walking may be restricted even during business hours. Prioritize the loop before shops or optional activities if the schedule is tight.
What to know
Bad weather changes the headline stop
The open lift can suspend for lightning, sudden gusts or high winds. Visibility can also remove Mount Fuji and the distant-island panorama while the lift continues operating.
Klook says the scenic-spots tour may use the Komuroyama lift when Mount Omuro is closed and Izu Shaboten Zoo if Komuroyama is also unavailable. That is a substitute itinerary, not equivalent summit access.
The day-tour terms also allow the driver or guide to adjust or reduce stops because of weather, traffic, holidays or crowds without a standard refund. Book for the broader Izu day, not a single guaranteed image.

Jogasaki is a short coastal walk, not a full hike
Ito’s official tourism site describes Jogasaki as a roughly nine-kilometre coast with a picnic course and nature trail, highlighted by the 48-metre-long, roughly 23-metre-high Kadowaki Suspension Bridge.
A day tour visits only a limited section. Klook recommends sports shoes for light hiking; wet rock, steps, roots and cliff-edge exposure make fashion footwear a poor choice.
Stay inside the guide’s time boundary and do not extend onto a longer trail. Missing the vehicle at an attraction is treated as lateness, and Klook says the carpool tour will not wait or refund.
What to know
Ito Marine Town is the first stop cut by traffic
Ito Marine Town combines restaurants, shops, a marina, footbath and onsen facilities, but a short tour stop supports only one or two priorities.
Klook warns that the stop may be cancelled when congestion or other circumstances delay the day. Do not make a specific meal, souvenir or bathing plan depend on it.
Carry an emergency snack and water from Tokyo. Restaurant queues, dietary questions and browsing can consume the entire stop when it does occur.

The guide format changes with group size
Klook says groups of 4–13 normally use a driver-guide, while 14–45 use a driver plus tour guide. A driver-guide focuses primarily on driving, with commentary as a secondary role.
English, Chinese and Japanese language selections may share one vehicle. That can lengthen announcements and does not guarantee continuous interpretation at every stop.
Choose this tour for logistics and access rather than a promise of a specialist geology lecture. Use the linked official sources before departure if the natural history is important.
What to know
Declare luggage before the tour
The current Klook terms allow one piece of luggage per person without an extra charge. Additional luggage is listed at ¥2,000 per piece, paid onsite.
Every bag must be noted in the order. Klook warns that undeclared luggage can be refused and that boarding refusal on that basis is not refunded.
A suitcase allowance does not make an airport-to-tour transfer low risk. Delayed flights, large terminals and an unfamiliar Shinjuku meeting area make a hotel or station luggage plan safer.

Watch for the day-before email
The supplier says it sends the next day’s meeting time and location, guide and vehicle-plate information by email between 16:00 and 22:00 Japan time.
After 22:00, check spam and the Klook message channel. If more than one notice arrives, the latest message controls according to the current terms.
Keep mobile data available on the travel day. The booking page’s general Tokyo departure label is not a substitute for the final meeting instructions.

Final package decision
Choose the scenic-spots package with lift included when Mount Omuro is the main reason for the trip. Choose the ticket-excluded scenic package only after comparing the live saving with the official round-trip fare.
Choose the train package when Resort 21 adds real value for you and a substitute train would still be acceptable. Avoid it if the Kurofune train or a guaranteed ocean-facing seat is essential.
Before payment, read the selected package’s live itinerary, cancellation and age terms, note luggage, save the inclusion list and accept that weather, traffic and operations can replace or shorten stops.
