Before you book

Make these decisions in order.

  1. 01

Choose the room by square meters, bed count and shower-versus-bathtub layout.

  2. 02

Save the official 1-1-27 Dojimahama address because Klook currently displays a conflicting street number.

  3. 03

Confirm every child’s age, bed sharing and breakfast charge against the selected room and rate.

  4. 04

Compare the same live room, dates, occupancy, meals, tax and cancellation deadline on Klook and the official site.

  5. 05

Read the SkySpa rules before booking if tattoos, young children, swimwear expectations or accessibility affect the stay.

What to know

The SkySpa—not the word “Tower”—is the booking reason

Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower is a 2024 high-rise hotel in Kita, between the Yodoyabashi business district and the broader Umeda–Osaka Station area. Its strongest differentiator is not merely a city view from a tall building. The official hotel site places a large public bath, outdoor infinity bath, cold baths and auto-loyly saunas on the 31st floor.

The outdoor bath sits 127.462 metres above ground and has been certified by Guinness World Records as the highest outdoor infinity public bath in a building. That creates a memorable end to a sightseeing day without leaving the hotel. It is still a shared Japanese public bath, not a rooftop swimming pool or private spa.

Book because you will actually use that facility. If public bathing is uncomfortable, or the itinerary keeps you in Namba until late every night, a lower-priced hotel closer to the evening plan may provide better value even when it lacks the skyline.

What to know

Understand where the hotel sits in Osaka

The hotel is at 1-1-27 Dojimahama in Kita Ward, with its front desk on the 17th floor. The official access page lists Yodoyabashi Station Exit 7 as the closest primary route, about six minutes on foot. Yodoyabashi connects to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and Keihan Railway, making Shin-Osaka, central Osaka and Kyoto-side journeys practical.

This is not a Namba or Dotonbori hotel. Reaching those southern nightlife areas usually means using the Midosuji Line or another connection, then returning north. The location works better for travelers dividing time among Umeda, Nakanoshima, Shin-Osaka and Kyoto than for visitors who want to walk home from Dotonbori.

The official page estimates about 10 minutes from Shin-Osaka and about 70 minutes from Kansai International Airport using rail and walking. Those are planning estimates, not guaranteed door-to-door times. Add station navigation, platform waits and luggage handling.

What to know

Use the official address, not the current Klook street number

Klook hotel detail 1326766 currently displays 1-1-5 Dojimahama, while Candeo’s official English and Japanese access pages display 1-1-27 Dojimahama. The official hotel address is the safer arrival reference and is the one used in this guide.

Do not paste the reseller address into a taxi or luggage-delivery form without checking it. Save the official hotel name in Japanese, the 1-1-27 address and telephone number from the official access page. If a booking confirmation still shows 1-1-5, ask Klook or the hotel to reconcile it before arrival.

The building is Osaka Dojimahama Tower and the hotel front desk is above street level on 17F. Allow extra time for the building entrance and lift journey; the six-minute station estimate does not mean six minutes from platform to reception.

  • Official: 1-1-27 Dojimahama, Kita-ku, Osaka 530-0004.
  • Front desk: 17th floor.
  • Klook currently shows a different street number.
  • Use the official access page for taxis, maps and luggage delivery.

What to know

Choose the room by bathroom as well as size

The entry Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin are both 24 m². The king has one 1,800 mm Simmons bed; the twin has two 1,100 mm beds. Both official descriptions specify a shower room rather than a separate bathtub. This can be perfectly adequate when the SkySpa will provide the bathing experience.

Executive King and Executive Twin increase to 26 m² and add a bathroom with a separate bathtub and washing area. The Luxury Corner King is 31 m² with the same separate bath arrangement. That difference matters for guests who prefer privacy, have a child who cannot use the public bath or simply want an in-room soak.

Larger parties should inspect the Premium categories. The universal twin is 41 m², the Premium Triple is 43 m², and the private-spa suites are 60 or 75 m². Capacity figures include specific numbers of adults and bed-sharing children; they do not promise extra beds.

  • Deluxe King: 24 m², one 1,800 mm bed, shower room.
  • Deluxe Twin: 24 m², two 1,100 mm beds, shower room.
  • Executive King/Twin: 26 m², separate bathtub and washing area.
  • Luxury Corner King: 31 m², separate bathtub and washing area.
  • Premium Twin Universal: 41 m²; Premium Triple: 43 m².
  • Private-spa suites: 60 m² or 75 m².

What to know

The SkySpa rules can decide whether the hotel fits

The SkySpa is free for hotel guests and operates from 15:00 until 11:00 the next morning. The saunas are unavailable from 02:00 to 06:00. The bath is separated by gender, and the Japanese official page says children aged seven and over must use the gender-designated side.

Guests with tattoos are currently welcome at this specific SkySpa. Swimwear is not allowed because it is a public bath, and children who still wear diapers cannot enter. Towels are not stocked in the SkySpa; take the room towel and bath towel with you.

The outdoor bath closes when wind exceeds 8 metres per second. The indoor bath can still matter on a windy night, but travelers booking solely for the open-air view should recognize that weather can remove that part of the experience. Maintenance can also affect facilities, so check current notices near the stay.

What to know

Breakfast is a ¥4,180 decision

The official breakfast buffet runs from 07:00 to 10:00, with last entry at 09:30, in the 17th-floor restaurant. The checked adult price is ¥3,800 before tax, ¥4,180 including tax. Children aged 6–11 are ¥2,090 including tax, and children under six are free. These details were verified on July 26, 2026.

The menu includes Japanese and Western dishes, a lacto-ovo vegetarian selection, fruit, yogurt, pastries and daily items. Ingredients and menus can change. A breakfast-included rate can be attractive when the room-price difference is below the amount the group would actually pay and an early meal simplifies the day.

Do not add breakfast automatically. Yodoyabashi and Umeda have many alternatives, and a late start may make the 09:30 last-entry time inconvenient. Compare the exact room-only and breakfast-included totals for every guest.

What to know

Add Osaka’s current accommodation tax correctly

For stays beginning on or after September 1, 2025, Osaka Prefecture’s accommodation tax applies per person per night. The hotel’s official notice sets the current thresholds from the taxable room charge and associated service charge, excluding consumption tax, meals, laundry and parking.

There is no tax below ¥5,000. The tax is ¥200 from ¥5,000 to under ¥15,000, ¥400 from ¥15,000 to under ¥20,000, and ¥500 from ¥20,000 upward. A couple in a room whose taxable rate allocates at least ¥20,000 to each adult would therefore add ¥1,000 per night in total.

Klook currently displays a broad mandatory-fee statement saying a city tax may range from ¥100 to ¥10,000. That is not the useful calculation for this hotel. Use the hotel’s official Osaka tax notice and the final checkout or property-payment line, then ask if the tax treatment is unclear.

  • Under ¥5,000 per person per night: no accommodation tax.
  • ¥5,000 to under ¥15,000: ¥200.
  • ¥15,000 to under ¥20,000: ¥400.
  • ¥20,000 or more: ¥500.
  • The calculation excludes consumption tax and unrelated services.

What to know

Children must be entered before room comparison

The official room page lists different bed-sharing capacities: one child in king rooms, two in twin rooms and up to three or four in larger categories. Klook’s general property policy currently says children above five are charged as adults and describes a narrower bed-sharing rule. These summaries are not precise enough to price a family trip.

Enter every child’s actual age on both booking sites. Then confirm room occupancy, beds, breakfast, tax and whether the child is counted as an adult for that rate. Klook also states that extra beds are not allowed, so never book a room that only works if an unlisted rollaway appears.

The SkySpa has separate restrictions: children in diapers cannot enter, and children seven or older use the gender-designated side. A family needing a private bath should choose an Executive or higher category with an in-room bathtub, or verify another suitable arrangement.

What to know

Klook and the official site contain other claims to verify

Klook currently lists a free shuttle to Universal Studios Japan with reservation required. The hotel’s official access page checked for this guide does not list that service. Do not build a USJ morning around the reseller summary until the hotel or Klook confirms the operating date, departure point, reservation method and capacity.

Klook also labels the fitness centre as an additional-charge facility, while the official fitness page describes it as a hotel-guest-only space on 31F, open 24 hours for ages 14 and over, without publishing a fee on that page. Ask the hotel if fitness access affects the booking decision.

These discrepancies do not prove that Klook is unusable. They show why a hotel marketplace should be treated as a live sales channel, not the sole operational authority. Use Candeo for location and facility rules; use the selected Klook rate for Klook’s price, payment and cancellation terms.

What to know

Compare Klook and direct booking like for like

The Klook hotel page has dynamic inventory. Enter the actual check-in and checkout dates, room count, adults and every child before looking at price. The paid link in this guide deliberately contains no sample stay dates, so it does not preserve an irrelevant one-night search from the source file.

Open Candeo’s official booking engine alongside it. Match the exact room name, square metres, beds, shower or bath, number of guests, breakfast, tax, payment timing and cancellation deadline. Also compare membership conditions: Candeo advertises a best-rate guarantee and a complimentary one-hour late checkout for members, subject to the applicable terms and availability.

The hotel’s general direct-booking FAQ charges 50% for cancellation the day before and 100% on the stay date or for a no-show for reservations up to nine guests; non-refundable plans remain 100% regardless of cancellation date. Those direct terms do not replace the rules shown on a Klook rate. Record the local-time deadline attached to the product you actually buy.

What to know

Luggage, valuables, parking and the final decision

The hotel FAQ says the front desk can hold luggage on the check-in and checkout day, excluding valuables, fragile items and food. Sending luggage ahead requires advance contact. There is no safe in the guest rooms according to the same FAQ, so travelers carrying passports, cameras or business equipment need a personal valuables plan.

The official car park costs ¥2,800 for up to 24 hours, with a ¥300 hotel-guest discount when requested at the front desk. It does not allow reservations or re-entry, operates 07:00–23:00 and has vehicle-size limits. A rail-based stay is simpler for most international visitors.

Choose Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower when the SkySpa, high-rise setting and north-central transport pattern justify the rate. Choose Namba for walkable nightlife, an Osaka Station hotel for the shortest major-terminal transfer, or a smaller property when the bath and views will go unused. The best booking is the room whose layout and conditions fit—not simply the cheapest card on the results page.

A good fit

Put it on your list if...

  • Couples and solo travelers who will use the rooftop public bath and sauna
  • Visitors splitting time among Umeda, Nakanoshima, Shin-Osaka and Kyoto
  • Travelers with tattoos who want a hotel SkySpa that currently welcomes them
  • Guests who value a modern 24–31 m² standard room over the smallest business-hotel layout
  • Families willing to select the room and bath arrangement by exact child age

Think twice

Skip or reconsider if...

  • Travelers who want to walk home from Dotonbori or Namba nightlife
  • Guests uncomfortable with public bathing who would not use the main differentiator
  • Families assuming every room has a bathtub or allows the same bed-sharing arrangement
  • USJ visitors relying on an unconfirmed reseller shuttle summary
  • Drivers needing reserved parking or repeated vehicle entry and exit
