Asakusa has several different APA hotels
This article covers APA Hotel Asakusa Ekimae, property No.285, at 1-12-16 Komagata. The Klook listing number is 552539. These three identifiers are the safest way to verify the booking.
APA Hotel Asakusa Kuramae Ekimae, APA Hotel Asakusa Tawaramachi Ekimae, APA Hotel Asakusabashi Ekimae and APA Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon Minami are separate buildings. “Ekimae” only means near a station; it does not mean that all of these hotels share one entrance.
The differences are material. For example, the Tawaramachi branch advertises a public bath, while No.285 does not. Never transfer a bath, laundry, parking or breakfast statement from one branch to another.

Exit A1 is for the Toei Asakusa Line
The hotel’s one-minute claim refers specifically to Toei Asakusa Line Asakusa Station Exit A1. The official page gives about three minutes from Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Exit A3, six minutes from the Tobu Skytree Line front exit and six minutes from Toei Oedo Line Kuramae Station Exit A6.
Asakusa’s subway, railway and Tobu platforms are not one compact gate hall. Save both the operator name and exit number; searching only “Asakusa Station” can lead to a longer street walk with luggage.
The hotel places Kaminarimon and Sensoji at about five minutes on foot. It is convenient for the temple district while sitting slightly south in Komagata, rather than directly inside the busiest Nakamise area.

Airport access depends on the train
APA describes an approximately 60-minute no-transfer journey from Haneda on a Keikyu Airport Line airport service continuing to the Toei Asakusa Line, and from Narita on a Keisei Access Limited Express continuing to Asakusa.
Not every train from either airport follows the same route, stop pattern or destination. Check the actual departure board and transfer guidance rather than boarding any Keikyu or Keisei train because the hotel page says “no transfers.”
An airport-to-hotel time estimate excludes platform finding, immigration, baggage, ticketing and the final exit. Keep the address offline in case service disruption requires a different line or taxi.

Standard and Superior are both 11m²
The official room page lists both Standard and Superior at 11m² with one 140cm-by-195cm bed for one or two adults. The published difference is that Superior provides luggage storage under the bed.
That makes bag strategy central to the choice. Eleven square meters is compact for two adults, especially with large suitcases. If the Superior rate is higher, decide whether under-bed storage—not a larger room—is worth the difference.
The bed width is a small double by many international expectations. Two adults who sleep separately or need open luggage space should not choose solely from the low headline price.

Deluxe Twin is the real two-bed option
The Deluxe Twin is 21m² with two 122cm-by-195cm beds. It more than doubles the floor area of a Standard room and is the credible choice for two travelers wanting separate beds.
Inventory and price can differ sharply from the compact rooms. Enter both guests before searching and verify that the final rate names Deluxe Twin rather than a translated “double” or “two-person” room.
Accessible-room needs should be confirmed directly with the hotel before paying. The property advertises a barrier-free room and wheelchair lending, but a generic accessibility icon does not establish every doorway, bathroom or bed requirement.

Breakfast is six set plates, not a buffet
Tempura Kappou Tsukagoshi on the first floor serves breakfast from 07:00 to 10:00, with last order at 09:30. The official price checked on July 26, 2026 is ¥1,500 including tax.
Guests choose one of six plates: a Japanese set, raw egg over rice, minced tuna bowl with udon, grated yam with barley rice, a vegan plate or a Western plate. Each type is available only while supplies last.
The hotel explicitly says children’s plates are not available. A family should confirm whether the child receives an adult plate, shares food or needs a separate plan. “Breakfast included” on a room card does not answer that question for every child.
What to know
Child-friendly does not mean unlimited co-sleeping
Klook says children of all ages are welcome. The hotel’s booking form separates ages and distinguishes children using meals, beds, both or neither; its Japanese page also advertises a special family plan allowing elementary-school children to share a bed free.
That promotion is plan-specific. Do not assume the cheapest Standard rate automatically includes an older child, breakfast or more than the room’s allowed number of occupants.
Enter the real age and select the exact child arrangement. If Klook and the APA plan describe the child differently, obtain written confirmation before paying rather than leaving the child off the reservation.
What to know
Every room is non-smoking
The property marks all 306 guest rooms non-smoking. A Klook or third-party room label should agree with that current property-level rule.
If an old cached listing offers a smoking room at this address, stop and verify the property rather than assuming a special smoking floor exists. Similar APA hotels and historical inventories can appear in broad search results.
Travelers requiring information about any designated smoking area should ask the hotel directly; “all rooms non-smoking” does not by itself describe every common area.
What to know
Multi-night cleaning is by request
For stays of two nights or more, the hotel performs daily room cleaning only when the guest places the cleaning-request magnet outside the door by 09:00. Requested ordinary cleaning does not include changing sheets or other bedding.
For hygiene, a full clean including sheet replacement is performed every third night even without the magnet. Plan around that entry schedule if you work in the room or keep equipment unpacked.
Do not treat a “daily housekeeping” icon on a marketplace as proof of automatic daily sheet changes. The dated property procedure controls.
What to know
Do not assume this branch has a coin laundry or public bath
The current official facilities for No.285 list a restaurant, parking, vending machine, ice machine and microwave, but do not list a coin laundry or public bath. Nearby APA properties can have those facilities, which makes branch confusion especially costly.
If laundry or a public bath is essential, ask No.285 directly before booking or choose a property that explicitly lists it. A generic APA brand service page does not add a physical facility to this building.
The room includes a compact unit bath. The hotel’s paid in-room aromatherapy service is a separate service and is not an onsen, spa facility or public bath.

Parking has strict dimensions and hours
The detailed official breakdown lists ten mechanical spaces, two flat spaces and one accessible space, all first come and not reservable. Mechanical parking is ¥2,500 and flat parking ¥3,000 per night, with overtime charged at ¥300 per 20 minutes.
Vehicle limits are 5.0m long, 1.9m wide, 1.5m high and 1.9 tonnes. Racks, carriers, cargo vehicles, motorcycles and three-wheelers are prohibited even when some dimensions fit.
The car park operates 07:00–22:00, with no entry or exit overnight. Klook’s rounded self-parking figure does not explain the mechanical/flat difference or the locked period, so use the property details when driving.
What to know
Tokyo accommodation tax may be separate
For stays during 2026, Tokyo accommodation tax is calculated per person per night on the room-only taxable charge: no tax below ¥10,000, ¥100 from ¥10,000 to below ¥15,000 and ¥200 from ¥15,000.
Meals, consumption tax and some separately stated service charges are excluded from the taxable amount. Klook’s generic ¥100–¥10,000 city-tax warning is not a useful calculation for this Tokyo stay.
Check whether the tax is included in the final online payment or collected at the hotel. Tokyo has announced a revised system from April 1, 2027, so later stays require a fresh check.

Use the real dates, all guests and every child’s age. Match No.285, hotel 552539, room size, bed count, under-bed storage, breakfast for each guest, payment timing and cancellation deadline.
