Before you book
Make these decisions in order.
- 01
Read the Important Legal Notice on the selected Klook package before paying; do not rely only on the activity title or photographs.
- 02
Ask through Klook what is guaranteed on your date: meeting time, meeting point, club activity, finish point and independent return plan.
- 03
Book only if the membership and social gathering are worthwhile without a specific car, passenger ride or Daikoku PA stop.
- 04
Save the final voucher, host messages, meeting address and a late-night public-transport or taxi route offline.
- 05
Check current Shutoko closures and weather before leaving, while accepting that a last-minute route change may still occur.
What to know
Why the night can be exciting for a JDM fan
Tokyo’s modified-car culture is difficult for a first-time visitor to approach respectfully. This activity offers a social entry point: the current Klook page describes a membership community built around Japanese performance cars, conversation, networking and night photography. That is more personal than viewing cars through a museum barrier.
The strongest reason to join is access to people who care about the machines. A traveler can ask about builds, photograph cars with permission and experience the atmosphere of a club gathering. The product is less suitable when the only acceptable outcome is a particular Nissan, a high-speed ride or one famous parking area.
What to know
The activity title is not the contract
Klook currently titles activity 110547 as a “FAST&FURIOUS TOKYO DRIFT experience,” labels a duration of two to four hours and shows dramatic car-meet photography. Farther down the same page, its legal notice says this is not a guided tour, transportation service or tour company.
Treat the package details and legal notice as controlling. The movie-style title describes an atmosphere; it does not by itself guarantee film locations, drifting, a fixed convoy, a named vehicle or any relationship with a film franchise.
What to know
What the payment actually covers
The current Klook terms say the fee strictly covers private club-membership registration and community access. The page advertises one year of access to the GaijinTuned automotive community, selected club activities, a Yokohama team base and member benefits.
This distinction should shape the value calculation. If one evening is disrupted, the contractual purchase is still membership rather than a prepaid transport itinerary. Overseas travelers should decide whether they can realistically use any later membership benefit after leaving Japan.
What to know
A ride and a specific car are not guaranteed
Klook states that any vehicle ride, seat, route or destination is a complimentary benefit offered at the discretion of club volunteers. Vehicle type and seating are not guaranteed. A photograph of an R34, R35 or another performance car therefore does not reserve that model for the buyer.
Groups may not be able to sit together, and a passenger opportunity can be shortened, changed or unavailable. Ask about mobility, body-size, seat-belt and child-seat needs before booking; a low sports car is not equivalent to an accessible tour vehicle.
What to know
Daikoku Parking Area is also not guaranteed
The Klook legal notice explicitly includes Daikoku Parking Area among the destinations that may change or be omitted. Traffic, weather, volunteer availability and operational restrictions can alter the night without compensation under the displayed terms.
Daikoku PA is inside the Metropolitan Expressway network at Daikoku Junction in Yokohama. Shutoko’s official parking-area FAQ says its parking areas cannot normally be entered on foot from local streets, with only Kawaguchi Highway Oasis and Yashio PA listed as exceptions. It is not a place to reach independently by walking from a nearby bus stop.
What to know
Closures can end the Daikoku plan without warning
Shutoko says parking areas may close temporarily for construction, emergency maintenance or security reasons. It also publishes closure notices for severe weather; Daikoku PA is closed when heavy snow is forecast so the site can support snow and ice operations.
A busy gathering is not an official scheduled attraction. There is no guaranteed car count, start time or public event calendar. A quiet night or an early closure is not proof that the membership activity was incorrectly operated, so the social experience must remain the reason to book.
What to know
Confirm the meeting point from the final voucher
The current Klook page names Ricoland Tokyo Bay as the meeting location. Ricoland’s official store page gives the address as 2-7-12 Shinonome, Koto City, Tokyo 135-0062. Its published store hours are 11:00–20:00 on weekdays and 10:00–20:00 on weekends and public holidays, with irregular closure days.
Store hours do not define the car-club schedule, and the meeting can be outside the retail space. Use the exact pin, time and contact instruction sent for the selected activity. Arrive early enough to distinguish Ricoland Tokyo Bay from similarly named stores and do not assume a closed storefront means the gathering is cancelled.

Plan your own journey before and after the activity
Klook says hotel transfers are not provided. Because movement between club locations is not guaranteed transport, keep an independent route to the meeting point and a separate plan from the communicated finish point back to the hotel.
Ask for the expected finish area and latest likely finish time before the cancellation deadline. Check the last train as well as taxi availability and cost. Do not build a morning flight, non-refundable train or early tour around a precise return time that the product does not promise.
What to know
Why the transport wording matters in Japan
Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism warns visitors that carrying passengers for compensation without the required permission or registration is an illegal “shirotaku” operation. It recommends properly licensed taxis and hired cars when transport itself is being purchased.
The Klook listing avoids selling transport: it describes rides by volunteers as free, incidental and optional. Travelers should preserve that distinction rather than treating the membership as a guaranteed private transfer. If a person separately requests an unlisted cash fare for a ride, do not pay until Klook confirms what it is and whether it belongs to the booking.
What to know
Safety matters more than recreating a movie
This is public-road car culture, not a closed drift circuit. Wear the seat belt, follow the host’s safety instructions and never pressure a driver to speed, race, drift, use a phone or perform for a video. Leave any vehicle if the situation feels unsafe.
Keep bags compact and secured so they cannot move around the cabin. Alcohol and recreational drugs are incompatible with a driving-centered night. A dramatic clip is not worth distracting a driver or encouraging conduct that threatens other road users.
What to know
Photograph cars without turning owners into props
The activity is marketed around photography, but the cars and people still belong to individual owners. Ask before touching a vehicle, opening a door, using a tripod close to traffic or placing equipment on bodywork. Keep lanes, shop entrances and emergency access clear.
For a personal travel post, request permission before showing a recognizable face or focusing on a license plate. Monetized YouTube, commercial shoots, brand work and large lighting setups require a separate rights conversation; club membership does not automatically grant commercial releases from every owner or location.
What to know
Weather changes both comfort and the car lineup
Rain can reduce attendance, change photography and move or cancel an outdoor gathering. Summer nights can remain hot and humid, while winter waterfront areas can feel colder than central Tokyo. Bring a compact layer and weather protection that fits inside a sports-car cabin.
The Klook terms allow schedules, vehicles and locations to change or be cancelled because of weather, traffic or volunteer availability. Check messages immediately before departure and keep the evening flexible rather than adding a timed reservation afterward.
What to know
Do not infer cancellation rights from another package
Klook can display different car-culture activities beside this listing, each with its own operator, transport status, confirmation method and cancellation deadline. A free-cancellation label on a recommended alternative does not apply to activity 110547.
Open the exact selected package and capture its final cancellation, no-show and confirmation conditions before payment. If the live page shows no package for the selected date, do not choose an arbitrary date merely to force checkout; wait for real inventory or ask Klook support.
What to know
The right way to decide whether it is worth the price
First value the guaranteed membership, social gathering and photography opportunity. Then treat a volunteer ride, named car, convoy and Daikoku stop as zero-value bonuses for the calculation. If the remaining guaranteed experience still justifies the live total, the booking fits its written terms.
Choose a different licensed guided tour when fixed pickup, an itinerary, a guaranteed seat and a defined return are essential. Choose this membership when uncertainty is acceptable and meeting the community is the main attraction. That distinction prevents a strong enthusiast experience from becoming a mismatched transport purchase.
